1. I do like the look of the ASAT, but I must say, the glittery finish isn't quite me!!
2. Hmmm...seriously tempted, I'm 160 miles away though. I could probably get down to Carlisle within the next couple weekends if it were still to be available by then.
3.
Welcome to the forum Guy. Yes, Xilddx and I are professionally trained comedy ninja's. Perhaps we could do a three-some on stage sometime soon? Anyway, the sun is shining and there are Ladies outside waiting to be impressed by my shiny bicycle.
4. I'm loving the latest P ri's, in particlar the one in faded sonic blue...but there is absolutely no way I'd part with the cash they are asking... http://www.fender.com/series/american-vintage/american-vintage-63-precision-bass/ Well, unless of course my 6 numbers come up at the weekend and a couple of grand is neither here nor there...!!

Yamaha BBs

My very first bass was a Yamaha BB-something or other...for the life of me I cannot remember the number. Was there a BB50 or a BB100? Honestly can't remember. Bought it 3rd hand in 1988 or 1989 for the princely sum of £50.00 and was a rather unattractive metallic cherry red colour, so in my wisdom, I relocated it to my dads garage, sanded it down, sprayed it white and Stone Rose'd it with a red and black touch up pen from Halfords...as you tend to do at 14 or 15 years old...and instantly thought it was uber-cool...!! Weighed a ton as I recall...
6.
seriously loud.
Never mind. I've had few red wines.
7. I won't....mines is sitting in as a ornament in my room upstairs for now, has been since December!
8. SPEAK UP.....WE CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER HERE....!!!
9. Let's split it, Ned's Atomic Dustbin style...you want the low or high end???
10. This guy is trying to cut MDP's grass.... only room for one guitar improver on here!
11. I wouldn't be too sure about that...I'm not all that brilliant myself...sounds like a great choice they'll have then!! I'm in at 3.20pm, I'll be sure to say "hi" if we bump into each other...
12. Having just clocked your location...and the song you've been asked to audition to... I've come to the conclusion we are quite possibly both auditioning for the same band!!! Hahaha...!!
13. To be honest, I have absolutely no idea what strings they are as it's still the same set as when I bought it... Although I've had it over 15 month now, it has seen that little action, embarrassingly, I've never had any need to change them... Sorry I can't answer your query.
14. Been there! To be honest though, as soon as one member of a band I'm auditioning for shows themselves to be a complete and utter f@nny, I'm generally the one to pull the plug. Got no interest at all in playing along with egos....
15. Been following your updates from the start neepheid, it's fairly coming on impressively well. I'd be keen to do something similar myself, but it's this stage where I'd be absolutely clueless trying to do the electrics myself. Looking forward to seeing the end result!!
16. Problems embedding, but always liked the sound of this... Erm, so it worked in the end I see!!
17.
Affected and pretty awful all round imho I lasted about 30 seconds
You dirty bugger... Oh, right, NOT in that way right...got you......
18. Prefer straight sale to be honest, but feel free to try me with whatever you have to offer. Looking for cash for similar quality P-bass, so if you've anything of that ilk......
19.
Just wondering, did you ever go ahead with this? I'm thinking something similar, a sonic blue version of that butterscotch P in fact. Haven't put the itemized bill together yet, but was estimating around £700 as well. Although I'd expected the potential for resale would be pretty slim.
So looks like I vastly underestimated the cost... To import the neck and body only, including all taxes etc, going to cost around £700 - £750 alone...
