  1. Smoothhound wireless system, work perfectly, velcro on bottom of transmitter. Few age related marks but nothing that affects operation. Comes with power supply and box. The last picture I think is a holder but it's been a while so can't remember how it works and IIRC was 3d printed on here by someone. Now Sold

  2. Audix D4 microphone, I was using this to mic up my bass amp which it did marvellously but just don't need this anymore. What Audix say about it: With a wide frequency response of 40 Hz – 18 kHz and the ability to handle SPLs in excess of 144 dB, the D4 dynamic instrument microphone is an excellent choice for miking instruments requiring precise, low-frequency reproduction such as large rack toms, floor toms, cajon, djembe, tympani, leslie bottom, bass flute, saxophone and baritone saxophone, trombone, acoustic bass, bass cabinets, and small kick drums. The D4 is lightweight, compact, and easy to position. Used for stage, studio, and broadcast applications, the D4 dynamic instrument microphone is designed with a hypercardioid pickup pattern for isolation and feedback control. The D4 hypercardioid is also equipped with a VLM™ diaphragm for natural accurate sound reproduction. Designed, machined, assembled, and tested by Audix in the USA. £120 inc Postage
  3. Behringer NR300 Noise reducer, simple noise gate. Barely used, has velcro attached to bottom. comes in box. £20 inc postage
  4. Pedaltrain Metro 16. I upsized to a bigger board so this one is up for sale. it has a wire tidies on the bottom but these are stuck and can be removed easily. couple of hole drilled in the bottom (cannot be seen from front) where my Cioks power supply was attached. soft bag is in good condition with no tears. £35 inc postage or collect for £30
  5. This is a G&L MFD pickup as found in the SB-1 and SB-2 basses. It is quite an aggressive sounding pickup when on full but backing off the volume tames it and can make it sound closer to a traditional precision pickup. I have measured this at 10.1k ohms. The wires have never been cut on this and will also throw in a Kiogon solder less loom too! Now Sold
  6. wild stab in the dark but possibly a creamery pickups classic 52 tele? https://www.creamery-pickups.co.uk/classic-52-tele-precision-p-bass-pickups.html
  7. I have one and think its brill, i bought it and an omni cab sim pedal for FOH as i use fuzz. i split off to my amp before it or if using a borrowed backline i'll go through the effect return on the borrowed amp and use it as the preamp. never had an issue with volume issues.
  8. Peavey Epiphone Eko Musicman Squier Random Bitsa Retrovibe Ibanez HW G&L Probably a few more that i am missing
  9. Here is my list: Peavey Microbass (20 watt?) practice amp Laney RB7 (2x10 combo) with matching 1x15 cab Ashdown ABM 500 Evo III with matching 4x10 TC Electronic BQ500 with 2x Barefaced Super Compacts Ampeg SVT CL with Barefaced Two10 (did have six10 for a bit but was overkill) Ashdown CTM-15 I still have the Ampeg SVT and the Ashdown CTM-15 (the Ashdowb i have been meaning to move on but it needs looking over by a tech before i do and i have never got around to it.)
  10. I’m using the gear4music one. Seems to have protected my basses perfectly well so far. I’m sure it may not be as good as the expensive ones but it’s good enough for me.
  11. Had a great time last night playing the first gig since we changed our band name. We have been so busy writing a new album that we haven’t gigged since July last year. felt really good to be back out and playing live. I’m always worried I might lose the passion for playing live but thankfully it is still there. we played at club 85 in Hitchin and I used my preamp / cab sim combo for the first time. I was very happy with the ease of it all. A quick screengrab from an Instagram video someone uploaded:
  12. I had one of these as my first bass and loved it. Well worth the money! A pickup change worked wonders on an otherwise great bass. good luck with the sale!!
  13. Just to update this thread. I’ve found a solution that works for me (potentially). i ended up buying a hotone omni ir and coupling it with a broughton sv-pre and using them both as my foh sound. I’ve loaded the ir with a dr bonkers ampeg 8x10. It sounds in the ball park to my amp so I’m happy. The real test will hopefully be at this weekends gig. I’ve also added a ABY so I can split the signal one to amp and the other to foh stuff.
  14. I know it may not be for you but.. I’ve never used my amp at home, I use an audio interface into my laptop with a decent amp sim. Gets me in the ball park of my amp sound and can silent practice.
  15. I like plane noises.. 😂 boss bf-2 has always done well for me

Sounds like you have a good set of starting pedals. I don’t think you need anything else to be honest. if you are running a fuzz or distortion all the time maybe look at a clean blend for if it doesn’t go bass-ee enough. Phaser/flanger style pedal pushed by the fuzz always sounds great. I’ve never found delays to work for me but have started using a EQD afterneath reverb for atmosphere stuff which sounds awesome (again pushed by a fuzz) On a slight shift in topic, the rest of my band plays in drop c but I found I prefer to tune to C standard. Good luck with this and let us know how it goes!
  17. I have a svt cl and had a barefaced 6x10 for a little bit. It was glorious but I never felt like I was pushing it in anyway, I ended up selling it because it was a pain to get it to gigs. I now use a two10 with my ampeg. I know it is tiny in comparison but I’ve found when at gigs I pop it on top of whoever’s cab is already there to raise it up and it’s mighty loud enough and gets the up to ear height feel of a big cab. It’s a lot cheaper and easier it shift around.
  18. I believe the Bassrig super vintage has an "amp out" section on the pedal to try and reduce this issue. with a high and low frequency knobs and horn cut switch. !
  19. A bit of an absolutely everything picture of what is used with my band Erronaut. Ampeg SVT CL with a Barefaced two10S.
  20. I had some success using an ampclamp and audix d4 on my cab. I found it once it was set for the first time. It could be replicated every time after that. As it slides onto the cab in the same place. Might be an avenue to explore for the OP.
  21. Just resurrecting this one a bit as I’ve been messing around at home with pedalboard (fuzz etc) into audio interface for use in logic. It sounds horrendous until I put an amp sim on. which made me realise that is this essentially the sound I am sending to the front of house or does the di on my Ampeg SVT-cl colour the sound so it sounds nicer? I may have to experiment. Im thinking if it does sound like this to front of house. either asking to mic the amp at gigs or I’m wondering whether splitting the signal and adding a Ampeg sim pedal to the board plus DI. would be a viable option.
  22. Possibly, maybe, could have potentially fixed the issue. I rewired all the off board wiring. I think it may have been a ground issue. It didn’t make the noise when I just tried it but will box it back up and test it properly.
  23. I’m gonna try it with battery tonight to see if it’s a power supply issue. I’ve been running it through a cioks dc5.
  24. Thanks for this, I’ll look for what else could be causing this. Apart from this odd noise the rest of the circuit seems to be working.
