  1. I actually don't use a pedalboard, so I can take pedals on a whim. The three that get the most use which I'd choose (excluding a compressor (either always on on my VB99 or I take an MXR M87 if elsewhere which is nearly as good) EWS Stormy Bass Drive (Tiny, gritty and cutting) Meridian Funkulator (Octave, fizz and envelope) Aguilar Graphe (phaser)
  2. I don't really get it. Play it for what it is - if it's not a Fender, don't call it one. Limelight doing that is crazy IMO, I'd prefer a blank headstock (which they may offer?)
  3. Excellent condition, one or two small scratches on the sides. No box. Includes p&p Cheers ped
  4. Bass -> Backbeat -> someone else's area!
  5. It wasn’t I’m afraid - not sure what it was exactly but it was a traditional shaped jazz
  6. It’s actually more about the feel under the fingers rather than a thumb rest.
  7. I see what you mean but that’s like saying low action is a crutch for those with bad fretting technique.
  8. Love my backbeat. Couldn’t be without one now - feels really odd playing without one!
  9. Great!! Thanks. Will give it a go next week.
  10. To be fair it’s not very clear, it’s not easy to make it clearer using this software! Cheers have a good eve 👍🏼
  11. ‘The rules’ might seem stupid but we have them for a reason - to stop someone paying for a single ad and continuously adding items to the single advert. It happens a fair bit, so hopefully you can see why we can’t allow it even if the person has a full subscription. I assume you were informed and dealt with politely by the team. Cheers
  12. Doesn't work for me... anyone else?
  13. Great! Thanks. Don’t go to any trouble.
  14. Great video, great playing and great sound!! I'd love to jam to the tune if you have the backing track anywhere?
  15. Really you need a P, J and a MM 🤫
  16. Every time I see a comment here I cross my fingers that it’s good news 😑
  17. All of my basses but it does sound cool with the wing. A nice quirk is when you set the attack just right (which is actually more like a sensitivity control) you can 'beat' the filter when you do a pop on the G string, so you can play a synth filter baseline and accentuate it with clean pops. Sounds cool with the P bass especially.
  18. Give cobalt flats a go on your stingray. They could be made for that bass! Labellas on my P though like a decent person should
  19. Araf down guys
  20. Normally players are right handed so the cable emerges on your right, into the right of the pedal in front of you without getting in the way. Some early EBS pedals went the other way but it caused a civil war in Sweden
  21. It’s what drew me to it originally I’ll admit - but then I heard the samples and loved it. With three effects and the way they interact it has tons of sounds in it, some very subtle and some filthy. Most are usable.
  22. It’s like when bass gear always had to include the letter X to make it sound super powerful. My (lovely sounding) Laney bass combo was 60w, called the Hardcore Max!
  23. It’s an octaver, synth and envelope filter. Very flexible. I recently had it repaired. Here’s the thread with some great sound samples. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/445754-meridian-funk-u-lator-fixed/
  24. It’s too nice to step on so I employ a small boy offstage to activate and adjust. It’s made in Italy so you need to be super careful!
