  1. We’re climbing the rankings on Google for any terms related to Mick. Mick Mason scam - #1 Mick Mason Bass - #3 (but new thread name not indexed yet) Mick Mason Sansamp - #1 All good stuff
  2. Once again please don’t post things about his hopefully imminent prison time. I don’t want to lock the thread.
  3. He's now using Reverb https://reverb.com/uk/shop/gear-garage-5891 I have reported him and provided the link to here and the guy at Reverb seemed semi interested but not really - as long as he's paying, right? 🤷‍♂️
  4. I've updated the first post with some info - @prowla has kindly agreed to sum up the scam and add relevant links etc in the next few days, so new members and people who look for info on him online can see everything in one place.
  5. Yes welcome @DIYorDie, hope you stick around to chat about more pleasant topics!
  6. Anyone got a clear picture of this guys handsome face that I can plaster all over page one?

    Aguilar AGRO pedal

I have been after a specific bass distortion sound for a while now but as I don't really have cause to use it, and because buying pedals is quite a gamble and trying them in store is either impossible or difficult to judge, I've never really got round to discovering the pedal I need. I used to play in a funk metal band when I was at university, and we went on a trip to see Cult of Luna play in Birmingham, where I heard the bass distortion sound I wanted. It seems to me that too many distortion pedals add fizz on top of the signal, rob it of punch or make the bass sound blend into the guitar too much and consequently drop out. I wanted a bass distortion that sounds similar to this: To me, it distorts and breaks up the bass, making it dirty and fat but really thick and growly. Then I heard this demo, which features some rather bored looking youth playing a jazz bass (always my bass of choice for distorted sounds). He is downtrend a fair bit here which helps match the sound but this particular part of the demo had me interested: So I got the pedal and it sounds really great, especially like I say on a jazz - something about that hollow broken up gutsy sound just sounds great in the mix (although I've only been playing along with backing tracks through my headphone setup) So yeah pretty pleased with it. Aguilar have sorted the pedal box too so that you can use right angled cables, where before I think there was an overhang. Cheers ped
  10. Sounds great with both. Liking the beard too 🤗
  11. Great looking bass! Are you leaning towards flats or rounds on this one?
  12. Hm sounds do-able with a bridge pickup, pick, reverb and a touch of tremolo? Plucking near the bridge of course and loads of mids.
  13. Like you say get them dispatched by Amazon. I don’t think fakes are too much of a problem it was mostly fake elixirs which were easy to spot. If in doubt you can post a picture of the pack here and Amazon have a good returns policy.
  14. Let’s wait and see. This will inevitably slide into politics rubbish so will lock the thread.
  15. No worries I was just about to look into it! Thanks for supporting the site 👍🏼
  16. He seems to have a reading age of around 10 years old and hasn't worked out how to use a VPN - his IP is blocked and if he DOES figure out how to sign up from somewhere else it'll be easy to spot. He thinks we're all 'sad keyboard warriors with nothing better to do' and he's 'out gigging' all the time, so it would be ironic if he did sign up again... Anyway he can if he likes, it just means we have more info on him for the police.

    GR i6 IEMs

Ok they just arrived and I’ve had a very quick play straight out of the box. They definitely sound a little scooped but not outrageously so, as EBS said I can EQ that out to a degree. However the main use of these will be from my Backbeat rumble pack where I’ll appreciate some sparkle on the otherwise raw signal. When I’m using an amp anyway they help protect my ears plus give me a clear bass signal at a low volume so they should work nicely. Im having a jam with my brother at Xmas so I’ll get to try them properly and report back. Did you burn yours in at all, the instructions are in Chinglish and as a result I can’t tell if they’re saying to do it for five mins or something else! Cheers
