  1. Facebook Marketplace. Complete free for all - some great folks but millions of complete wasters. “pay peanuts, get monkeys” Since introducing a fee to sell here I can count the number of problem sellers on one hand. Only use PayPal, NEVER gift, unless you’re giving an actual gift.
  2. Get him to Pocklington and I’ll ‘introduce’ him to Basschat

Thanks both for the really detailed replies. The ZS10 look really good for the money - I didn't know about them. There are a few varieties on Amazon; I’m tempted to give them a try...

Nobody tried 'em then? What do you think @EBS_freak?
  5. I see you're in York too!! Soggy York!! I'd love to see the bass when it's in your hands. The quarter sawn necks are great, so that's an option now is it? Maybe by the time it's coming back over here we'll have a trade deal with the USA! The SB1 is a great bass indeed, I think it's a very well thought out update on the P bass which is every bit as logical as the original transition to the '57 design most of us associate with the Precision nowadays. The MFD pickup is awesome - the volume and tone knobs interact in a way which makes the bass really flexible and musical. I can't explain how or why, but it works on everything.
  6. Looks great! Why so slow? My first P bass was a Fender ‘57 reissue in shell pink. Looks better on the SB1!
  7. @Dad3353’s never arrived - not aware of any others. I’ll just re send them if people let me know. I sent them in a standard envelope and wonder if any others ripped open like @Hellzero’s - from now on the locks will be taped to card to keep them ‘flat’ which might help.
  8. Let's just wait and see eh
  9. I haven’t but have been tempted by these a few times before I remember that drilling holes is not my forte http://www.woodieshanger.com
  10. Cheers I should be able to get them sorted and purchasable in early Jan if I use next week to get my supply chain sorted (I’m using Santa’s elves who are normally furloughed in late December)
  11. That thanks Stevie
  12. I'll send an email to all members but also plaster it all over the site, you won't miss it
  13. Ah sorry I thought I answered that - I’ll have them for sale in Jan. I’ll send an email to everyone when they’re on sale. I was hoping to have them up by Xmas but for one reason or another it’s taken a bit longer to get everything ready.
  14. I think I spoke to you about it a while back. They look great and I’d have used it a lot when I lived with my brother. We ended up mashing a system together with mixers and headphone multiplier things but it wasn’t exactly neat.
  15. Ok they’ve arrived! Just tried one now and think it’ll be good fun. It’s not the quietest thing in the world but for what it is it’ll be fine. It improved a lot with a compressor before the input. I’m not going to be taking the VB99 with me as the car will be full of child ‘accessories’ but luckily I have a Carl Martin comp limiter which really helps the sound of the cake. Cant wait to try it with the Vdrums too! I guess a jamhub would be a better quality alternative but I’ve been keeping an eye open and haven’t seen any in good nick for less than £250 ish and I simply won’t use it enough to warrant that.
  16. Ah whoops I thought I was being clever - foiled again!
  17. Are the numbers printed wrong 🤣
  18. Wow that’s pretty bling! So does an HH ray sound the same as an H when you select the rear pickup only?

I like the box. Blister packs are the thing that should be banned
  20. Excuse me putting this here I bet you’re all sick of it now 🤗

Has anyone tried these? I’ve got a friend who can get me some cheap. Think they might be quite good in conjunction with Backbeat. I always use headphones at home and studio and last time I played live I used Shure e2C which I used to really like. Cheers ped
  22. Great, I did see some ramps recently and thought of you. Hope you manage to get comfortable. My Vigier pickups are in a similar location so I’m the other way round - a jazz takes getting used to because the neck pickup seems far forward and the strings are a bit looser up there! Here with my favourite strap (except all my other straps)
  23. Took a few pics today. Really loving this bass. I’m finding it really comfortable to play. It’s wearing some rather old Cobalt Flats currently which suit it really well. They came off my P bass as they were too lively, so as you can see they’re chewed up pretty badly at the headstock - but they’ve been stable for a few weeks now and it would be a shame to waste them!

    No they’re not. I think you’re drunk.
