The Roland GK system does a fantastic DB sound, though it does require significant investment and may not be worth it for that alone.

If they ever come to the UK and not just London I usually do 👍🏼

I always wonder when buying a CD from Amazon for example how much £ actually goes to the artist. Can it be much more than streaming the album say 50 times? I only ask because I generally buy a CD or Vinyl of any albums I really like, mostly because it’s nice to have a booklet and physical copy

If you want a wearable gig bag but with a bit more padding and shock resistance, have a look at this one I use mine a fair bit, although it's quite bulky. I also have the fender gig bag which is of course much lighter and better for a very short trip.

Cheers mate yeah I see what you mean. The Tres shape works well for me because my pedals are massive and fit just right in a single row. However they’re also quite tall pedals, and the whole board is lifted up in slightly taller rubber feet to make room for stuff underneath. I think the longer boards have correspondingly tall bags/cases so a 3.3 hard case might just work (the 3.2 bag JUST fits). I may order one to try from Thomann. Cheers 🥂

Welcome back mate, tell us, how did you escape?

😂 Whoops, here it is.

Here’s my Mustang and my Vigier. Both extensively modified; bought in a pre modified state which game me licence to do the mods to my taste without having to carve up a mint instrument.

Hi @admiralchew, fantastic boards. Are you using a Rockboard Tres 3.3 for any of them perchance? And if so, do you have the hard case for said board? I’d like to know the depth of the case… and where did you get the 3.3 if indeed you have one.

Thanks, hand on heart I only liked this because it’s close by and because it looks cool. I don’t think I actually want or need an SVT.

Awesome video! You’ve inspired me to try making one too. Board sounds fantastic, all very useable.

Let's call it a misunderstanding and move on, shall we?! Have a lovely weekend

Hi Nick, Putting everything else aside, which we really do take into consideration given the chance, 'I'm trying to assess the desirability of these precisions among the bass community as I only need one of these bases now' or '(I'm) asking a question to start a debate to try to get to know how to go about achieving my goal' (which is to sell) ...are clearly attempts to ascertain value which isn't allowed, which was made clear. The 'What's it worth' section is only visible to supporting members so there was some confusion over that; I can't see any way around that to make the section more useful without it becoming a place to list things for sale without paying (also an issue with Wanted ads) but we make do and have been doing so for many years without a problem. Cheers

Hi folks There’s an Ampeg SVT-VR for sale near me. Refinished in white vinyl, with matching 1x15 cab. £1400. It’s on Facebook. I’m really tempted but just don’t think I could manage it or need the power. Having struggled in the past with moving other tube heads I’m not sure I want to go back, but man does it look cool. May be of interest to someone, which will stop me buying it! Happy to go and check it out if useful to anyone. It’s in York. https://www.facebook.com/share/Cw5cNxZrkiu24Sd5/?mibextid=79PoIi

On mobile there’s a ‘follow’ box at the bottom; on desktop it’s at the top of the page. Let me know if you can’t find it.

The thing is, that's exactly what we did. Everything is laid out very clearly in the 'warning' - which appears as a notification which you have to acknowledge before you can carry on. It was ignored. It was not us who 'went public' which I agree is a shame, and we have been painted as the bad guys somehow, despite, if you read the 'warning' a genuinely friendly offer to help do some research, which we're happy to do (and is really easy in this case). A similar situation recently resulted in the poster sending me a PM after reading the 'warning' note, we got talking and I ended up sending him a free membership. The system works if you follow it.

Can anyone tell me why this is petty/unfair/prickly please or shall I lock this now everyone is clear of the (easy, well communicated and helpful) rule? I’d seriously like to know feedback if you think there’s a better way to run the forum

I don't really see why - if there was no rule, nobody would pay for an advert, and BC wouldn't exist. As much as we'd like to, we can't make any exceptions, can we? Every post/thread that alludes to an item being for sale is removed and the poster receives a very nice detailed and courteous reply as to why: See, we even offer to help you research! Tell me how that's unfair?

You could get about six Sweepers in the space one of the Russians takes up. Maybe I should try it!! I keep thinking about making a mini board as an excuse to buy one 😂

Same, I had one (actually the USA version) and a mini Q tron. I think I didn't use them properly at the time, relying on them to make cool noises for me without appreciating how to ‘play’ the pedal, so I’ve come back to both and appreciate them anew. I didn't know about the adjustment either until I saw a mod where someone added external pots to adjust in the fly (a cool feature of the little Mooer Sweeper as mentioned by @Jean-Luc Pickguard). Judicious use and experimentation can yield results way beyond the factory settings, which I tend to find lean too much towards the top end and the bass end of the filter can slam open and whistle in response to a bass input)
