  1. I really think with this and my Orba 2 I will have the ultimate portable synth setup for pissing off colleagues and family. I take the Orba to work quite a bit and last time I forgot my headphones. After 5 mins of people being genuinely fascinated with it they started getting annoyed 😂
  2. Yes, you can have mine when the band kick me out! I got my order email finally

I don’t really use fuzz with the filter. Sometimes octave but mostly on its own. Yeah the grey one does gated, good fun but again not a sound I use. For more synthy sounds I use the Bassballs, palm muted and low sensitivity it sounds amazing for that.

Interesting, thanks. Yes my bass signal is quite hot actually but this particular sound is great with super high sensitivity because you get a lively bubbly sound with the resonance right up. Here is my normal setting which matches the mutron:

Yes, just found a great FX25 type filter sound using half trigger and some clean mix.

On the original turning the gain right down will also reduce the volume to zero

Ah right yes I see what you mean. I'll have a play later. I have yet to experiment with the static or 1/2 trigger on the meatball, too.

Thanks, makes sense - although I don’t recall it reacting to dynamics. Perhaps the frequencies around the notch are out of range with bass because I can barely hear it with the controls at both extremes. Not sure why it was added, and I don’t ever hear of anyone using it! I’ll go and have a play in a bit.

The Mutron doesn’t have static mode. However you’ve just reminded me about the Notch Filter mode on the Haz Mutron. Never really figured that out. At extreme settings it sounds slightly like a phased signal but does anyone know what it actually does?
  11. What have I started!
  12. Now I own the most scammed bass of all time

I wonder if that's due to the lack of a true bypass. I certainly found the tone suck quite pronounced with some instruments (probably least of all with a stingray, interestingly).
  14. I think it is for most people. It's an idea to make it less easy to take sellers pics from other sites and list that item as your own elsewhere. Just trying to help, if you have any useful ideas to share please do.
  15. You're funny
  16. I like this idea Dood... I was thinking if we had a printable template maybe A5 size with instructions to for example tuck it under the strings, it would make it hard to 'fake' (insert into a picture of someone else's bass) and tricky to remove (if stealing pics from here). Something like this maybe?
  17. Not sure I understand, I thought you were making one? Anyway here's one I posted in the 'announcement' which says about placing it somewhere it can't be cropped out, etc. Either way, I think a venn diagram of photoshop experts and online bass scammers will have very little overlap, and anything we can do to make it less convenient, the better.
  18. Make a convincing fake one, I'll wait
  19. I got the ‘congratulations for buying one’ email but no actual order receipt. But at least they have no order I suppose. I’ll message them in a few weeks if I don’t hear back.
  20. I must admit I like new strings when I buy a used bass. Using someone else’s seems a bit gross, but then again, flats are smooth enough that they can be cleaned at least on the surface, to an extent. Personally though I’d start a new set.

You should call it the Nutrom
  22. Hi guys I posted a new 'announcement' in the basses for sale forum today to urge people to include a note in their sales pics with their username. Please try to add this in your new and existing listings, even if you're a trusted member (as nearly everyone on here is) just to normalise the practice for anyone who has just joined. It's just another way to ensure listings can be verified as genuine and it will prevent people using cloned pictures from other sites. Cheers ped

    Comparing amps

It’s this sort of thing I was wondering about. How does that work? Will splitting my signal (which isn’t buffered) be an issue too? I mean I can just use them totally separately because I think they’ll be pretty different - I don’t think I’ll be splitting hairs
  24. Hi guys Perhaps a stupid question but if I want to A/B compare two different amplifiers (each with it's own cabinet) do I just use an A/B pedal to switch between the two? I'm not likely to have a massive pop when I disengage one? Does the A/B pedal need to be a powered one to avoid that, or anything? I'm probably overthinking this...

I have an OC10 as well, and think it's pretty much exactly the same as my OC2. Cool little thing.
