  1. Mine just made me a cup of tea and started work for me this morning
  2. I don’t know if they do any other colours. Pretty good padding, the bag stays in shape well and I’d say it’s comparable with my Fusion bag. There are some interior pics on the link.
  3. You've summed me up perfectly
  4. Yeah I guess that’s the same for most people who bought them.
  5. I had a punt on one of these. I'm impressed for the price - very sturdy construction, moveable neck pillow and lots of pockets. It is imitation leather so it doesn't weigh much (used to have a Harvest leather bag which weighed quite a bit on it's own) The colour is good and the 'leather' doesn't look half bad. The only problem is they have used the biggest zips known to man which clank around a bit, but can be replaced. Sits nicely on my back and the front grab handle is always a welcome addition. £59, can't go wrong.. https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/Fame-Gigbag-Electric-Bass-Antique-Deluxe/art-BAS0010066-000 Cheers ped
  6. Anyone have impressions to share? How do they compare with Elixirs?
  7. There is a correct answer - Labella 760fx. Everyone else is wrong.
  8. Never seen that before. Cool idea. I like 👍🏼
  9. I'd say more slippy than grippy. Hard to say, but it stays put nicely.
  10. Sure I THINK it was eBay a while ago - it's a Fender case allegedly although there's no branding on it. I presume they were licensed or copied from Scott Dixon types (or the other way around?) Although it seemed like overkill at first, it takes up very little room compared to the Warwick bass rack it replaced, and of course it can be closed to protect the contents. It has wheels too and doesn't weigh that much (all aluminium)
  11. Kamakiriad was the album I remember most from childhood. I had a Sony SUPER BASS walkman and used to listen to it a lot, I have a very string memory of reading a comic in bed whilst listening to 'On The Dunes' Would love to hear more about that album...
  12. I think it would be wise to try some actual flats first so he knows what they’re like, give it a couple of weeks then try others.
  13. I think the whole 'it's for my son' thing is a cover up!
  14. Tbh for rounds, Elixirs work out cheapest because they last so long. A set will last probably a couple of years during Covid.
  15. Just sold a bass to Mark. No messing - ‘can you meet tomorrowrow’. A thick envelope of cash and a form elbow shake later and here we are. A credit to Basschat! Enjoy the bass!
  16. Lovely to meet you too mate thanks for a super fast and smooth deal. Will do your feedback now!
  17. I think we should all go straight to bed
  18. Think you might be quoting me by accident?! Anyway - with strings it’s useful to hear opinions but really the only way is to try them. So many variables come into play, including the added complication of tension and thickness. It’s fun to experiment and takes a long time to find what works for you, and your bass - but fun to chat about too. And that’s what we’re here for!
  19. Yes on all the bungle stuff. Mostly plays a 70s P bass now apparently. The Europa was a ‘91 five string in natural with a reverse headstock. The closest I ever got was a six string Elan which was really nice but I’m bad enough on four strings let alone six!
  20. Do we all need to run our posts past you first?
  21. Is he selling anything else we might like to not buy?
  22. I just got one of these from a friend, it's really clever and seems secure.. D'Addario Auto Lock. Nice material, too. It works over all the types of pin that I have, from Dunlop Dual Design, Gotoh and Schaller, even the type for Schaller locks, which I hate. https://www.amazon.co.uk/DAddario-Accessories-Guitar-Strap-50BAL04/dp/B07SSJYHYJ
  23. Very nice. Always been a dream bass of mine since Trevor Dunn played one in Mr. Bungle
  24. Bedminster
