  1. Cheers it’s great fun. I’ve looked at the SY1000 and I’m not clear on what it offers that the VB99 doesn’t - I prefer the form factor of the VB99 though. Mainly I use it as a lovely clean preamp, audio interface and bass management centre (tm)
  2. Sort of a pedalboard but I don't use my feet unless I'm angry USB Mug Warmer - TC Ditto - Future impact - Source Audio C4 - Roland VB99
  3. It’s for my k-pop summer party band Chick Korea
  4. Not currently I’m afraid although you may be able to alter your browser or screen with accessibility settings?
  5. Can I be a party pooper and say that every bass is a sum of it's parts and although I have some that had elements that I wouldn't normally choose, together as an instrument they sounded amazing and vice versa - I'm sure if I took everything I like about basses I have had so far and put them into one bass it wouldn't be any good! WIth that said: Pickups near the back Flat necks Graphite Caramelised old maple necks
  6. Weird. There’s an update pending although @charic has his hands rather full at the moment but I hope that’ll fix the issue
  7. Well I mean you’re the one who came and said everyone but you is wrong! I like effects. I like a clean sound. Want both? Just tap ‘off’ on your pedals!
  8. Just to update you as per my email, they are now in production and will take a couple of weeks before being posted to me. I’ll let you know when they’re here (and make sure I BCc everyone this time 🤦🏻‍♂️) Cheers
  9. Indeed - I had a similar passive version
  10. I think about this sometimes, to a degree. What I have found is my definite ‘one’ bass which I won’t ever sell but I often amass several other instruments and suddenly have the urge to sell them all. Done it several times now and just kept the one. It’s quite liberating and fun at the same time to experiment with stuff and not have to worry that you’re chasing your tail. Ive also found that it pays to keep a P bass in stock because it’s a great leveller and a useful benchmark. Sometimes quite refreshing to go back to my battered P with flats. I’ve never been ‘attached’ to amps in the same way and could happily sell or use a house rig if it means I don’t need to bring one.
  11. Someone buy this - great price and these TwentyFour models are brilliant! https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/annonce-1851886
  12. It’s terrible. Distorts even with a passive bass on clean mode with gain in zero. Feels nicely made and so on but although there’s very little noise, as soon as you play a note it farts slightly and gets worse down the neck. I never send anything back but I think I might this time!
  13. Pinned posts get ignored and aren't maintained so I don't think so - probably best to keep your own channel thread or signature updated and get people to follow it in YT.
  14. Let us know your budget, style, shapes you like etc and we'll find you something to fit the bill
  15. It’s mostly about the position of the pickup.
  16. 😂 will do! Pre sale now closed!
  17. OK folks we have 107 confirmed buyers with at least one set each. I have placed the order with the supplier who will put them into production very soon and let me know an approx timescale. Once they land I'll email everyone on the pre-sale list with payment instructions. When those orders are shipped the locks will go on general sale (price tbc) and I will update that here. I'll leave the pre-order list open until sometime tomorrow when I get info regarding timescales, then I'll lock this thread and make a new one when they are available to the wider community. Cheers all of you who have supported this little venture! Keep subscribed to this thread for updates. ped
  18. Fretless too.. hmm. Wonder what it would sound like into my Roland Venus Bass
  19. No difference apparently - this one is designed for anything with a 1/4" plug, and I'mm mostly use it with my WIngbass anyway. I just want to try it as it would be ideal to have something so small, and I really like having reverb on tap too. Hopefully the signal to noise ratio is better... and I guess the more people that try it the more likely it'll be that the product gets better and better. I'd love a really well made super hifi version by someone like PJB or Roland!
  20. I just found it hugely noisy. I ripped the guts out of it on purpose.
  21. I am half man half synth
  22. Basses over 16” scale length
  23. At least they weren’t rusty! Two sets in a row were covered in rust so they sent me a new set that they personally checked over beforehand. They arrived rusty. Rusty.
