  1. It doesn’t disconnect that battery when you use the switch because if it did you’d get a loud pop when you switch on. I think. Also battery life should be thousands of hours in any case so just change it when you change strings or have a spare in your gig bag.

    Your Go To Bass

Excuse me but that bass only has one knob less than mine! And TWO switches!! But it's OK because you're a mod. Good work.
  3. Love the look of this thing. Any sounds?

    Your Go To Bass

15 years as my #1. In that time it’s seen off Alembics, Marleaux, Smith, Fender, Bossa, Bacchus, Musicman, Fender, Pedulla, Carvin.. even other Vigiers!! It’s comfy like an old jumper.
  5. Thanks, I've taken the original down now so have hidden the update too - I'll hopefully have something else made soon but not sure it's possible with the software!!
  6. Hi folks I recently posted a discount offer for people to buy a yearly sub at 70% discount. It was meant to be for people who don't already have a sub, but unfortunately too many people paid when they already have a subscription, causing complications and a fair amount of legwork my end to stop renewals for two subs at once. It all got complicated and I've had to remove the offer for the time being until I can find a way of making it bullet proof for people who don't like reading instructions! Watch this space - If you had paid yesterday or today don't worry everything is sorted but I am not able to spend hours correcting issues where some ended up with two subs. Cheers ped
  7. I don’t think they have a tone control for some reason so lots of people add them. Yes the SB body is lovely, like a slimmed down and more comfortable P.
  8. G&L SB1 is the best P bass imo. Lovely things. Not just because I have one for sale!
  9. Luckily my bass is graphite so easy to disinfect compared to wood which is probably harbouring Covid-19 in its pores.
  10. I doubt even John Hall will be pestering this guy
  11. We used to bodge our own version using a mixer and headphone splitter that worked ok. I loved playing like that, had some great jams (brother using nice Roland Vdrums)
  12. I’ve always fancied a jamhub! Posted many Wanted adverts but never found one - they go for all sorts of random prices on reverb so I haven’t ever taken the plunge.
  13. I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can get some info for you all.

    NBD - La Reunion

Congratulations I'm glad it went to such a great home! So tell me, did you try other wheelbarrows before settling on the classic '99 Haemmerlin?
  15. Yeah that’s it. I’ve removed it now, but can include it if you like 🤪 Let me know if you want any particular pics!
  16. Looks great. leFay pickups are lovely and unusual to see.
  17. No but Gareth sold one recently, a sunburst one. I bought this from Chicago Music Exchange. Back to one bass for me. I’m definitely a one bass guy but always enjoy trying others now and then for fun. Someone will be very happy with this bass. Along with the Smith I sold recently it’ll hopefully go on to make glorious music with someone else. As long as you don’t play punk with it or I’ll take it back.
  18. Hi folks G&L SB-1 from 1991. Has some nice wear to it - but all cleaned up and with incredible low action. Neck is dead straight and truss rod works well. Currently wearing Labella flats (760FX) but will also come with a set of D'addario Cobalt Flats which have been on for 10 minutes. Beautiful sounding P bass - the MFD pickup jus sings and the tone control can take you from vintage thump to snappy sizzle. When I bought it the shielding was poor so it's been fully reshielded and a new jack installed so it's now quiet as a mouse. Collection only from York or nearby (can deliver to a reasonable distance of halfway point). No case but can include a brand new Fusion Urban Gig Bag (black) for an extra £120. Any questions please let me know - there's a clip of it here (played with Cobalt Flats) Cheers ped https://soundcloud.com/chris-hiscocks/cams-jam
  19. Sounds like you should go with it I hear Italy is nice at this time of year
  20. Do what you like, sounds like you tend to anyway.
  21. Hey just to say you aren’t meant to add items to an existing advert. I know you have paid a yearly sub (cheers!) but it’s so people don’t buy a £7 ad and run it forever! Cheers
  22. Marcus forgot he built it apparently
  23. Sims Bass busted for spamming our forum. Poor form from one UK bass business to another.

I don't understand how they could have possibly imagined such an underhand and sneaky approach could have been acceptable.  hey ho.
