I was going to say but didn't mention how I'm becoming the same with watches. I think I have 'my' watch now, after years of buying and selling. I was also like that with cameras, and also have found 'mine' - so I'm looking for new areas to waste money on!

Yes it's possible! I have bought and sold more than I care to think about since starting BC. However when it comes down to it I really like the idea of having a bass that's 'me' - my sound, and what I use for everything. Kind of like some of may favourite players have had a bass which they are known for playing. It's a nice place to be, because otherwise I was always second guessing which bass I should be using for what and it became a distraction. So after years of this cycle (which, although I wouldn't want to go back to that now, was a great way to try out lots of instruments and learn about what I liked) I realised that one bass always ended up back at the top of the pile and the others got sold or swapped. To this day I still have that 'one' bass that I know is just perfect for me, but it doesn't 100% stop me wanting to buy and experiment with others too, so that way I look at it is that I have MY bass, and sometimes one or two others that I play with for fun, but I never buy them for keeps, and can easily slim right back to that one bass at any point.

Just realised the VB-99 has a high and low pass filter under one of the advanced EQ settings. HPF lowest setting is 55hz. Works well with synths to stop uncontrollable rumble through the bass board.

I’m going to have a chat with them next week. I know every courier gets bad reviews and you don’t often hear the good ones but there are some things I’d like to establish before I continue basically advertising them, not least a better discount. Watch this space and sorry if you’ve had problems, I thought they seemed like a great option for musical instruments.

All I know is that my £100 Vovox is noticeably better sounding than every other cable I have tried it against. Would it be noticeable in a band mix? no. Is it noticeable at home through my headphones? Just. Is that worth shelling out £100 for? to me, probably yes but no. Sometimes. If you like. Yes.

I don't know - people waste more than that on fags!

I’ve got a vovox cable that I was given - not sure I’d buy at nearly £100 but it does sound fantastic. I’ve A/B tested it with a variety of others and it actually does sound better.

In about 2002 I bought my first decent bass - a Pedulla MVP from an ex session guy in London. I remember going home on the tube then the coach to Oxford with the case and really wanting to open it up all the way. I think I paid £500. A few days later he offered me a shell pink ‘57 P bass reissue for the same price which I got too. I kept the pedulla for a long time (it’s why I’m called ped, used to be pedullaman) Those two basses gave me the initial capital to trade almost every bass since without having to put much more money in. Until I ended up with more than two of course - I think the most I’ve ever had at once is five and now I’m very happy with one (and one for sale!)

At the moment it looks like a guest can post, notifications are sent but the message isn’t visible unless the user registers afterwards. I think. Hopefully the update will fix but In the meantime nothing to be done.

I think the 'guest' post will become visible if said guest then registers their account, otherwise it doesn't show. We have a software update pending so maybe that'll fix it.
