    Hi folks G&L SB-1 from 1991. Has some nice wear to it - but all cleaned up and with incredible low action. Neck is dead straight and truss rod works well. Currently wearing Labella flats (760FX) but will also come with a set of D'addario Cobalt Flats which have been on for 10 minutes. Beautiful sounding P bass - the MFD pickup jus sings and the tone control can take you from vintage thump to snappy sizzle. When I bought it the shielding was poor so it's been fully reshielded and a new jack installed so it's now quiet as a mouse. Collection only from York or nearby (can deliver to a reasonable distance of halfway point). No case but can include a brand new Fusion Urban Gig Bag (black) for an extra £120.     Oh dear. Not Marcus Bell (Employee at SIMS) - otherwise known as @OC-2 ?! 🤦‍♂️ I know Sims have chanced it before with promoting their wares on here without paying - I've turned a blind eye even after emailing and being ignored... but this is pretty low. Enough to put me off ever buying one, anyway. Guys - one last time - if you want to advertise, pay like everyone else...

    Tbh life is simpler with one bass you love - (I assume you’re selling all but one?) and I think once you have the urge to sell you just have to get on with it!

    I was just going to say that the very first shape you posted would balance really well on the knee and it looks cool too. With these little basses you tend to need a fulcrum at the bottom of the bass rather than a cutaway to place the bass on your leg, because you hold it quite differently. With the short scale and smaller body it’ll feel too far back and too low down. Assume the new shape fits you though and it looks great 😀

    Pair your headphone setup with a cheap class D head and an Eich Bassboard and you’ll never look at amplifiers again! (Ok maybe a bit)

    Why use an amp at home at all? I never can because I don’t like to think it might be annoying someone else and at lower volumes I don’t like hearing the acoustic sound of my bass over the top of the sound from the amp. Solution - get a decent headphone setup.
