Probably a Talkbasser being ironic

Thanks. Most places I’ve tried who are well priced don’t drop ship. I definitely don’t want the stock at my house!

Dean Sledgehammer w/ twisted neck. What are my options?
ped replied to FarFromTheTrees's topic in Repairs and Technical
Hm I don’t know how a broken truss rod would lead to a twist.. sounds like the neck is just made badly. I think a broken truss rod would mean extreme levels of relief but not necessarily a twist. Might be wrong but normally I’ve seen twists because of improper storage or the wood used has a flaw so it bends over time. I mean your truss rod sounds knackered anyway but I don’t know if it will fix the twist but then maybe it’s not that severe. -
‘Closet’ classic! There were some rickenbacker designs at one stage. They’ll be where the big money lies!

We used to have some Polo shirts and we did a limited run of T shirts too - however the place that did the embroidery and drop shipping went bust. I looked for another company that could make and ship for a reasonable cost but never found anywhere. Add to that the fact that some went missing which I had to chase, people didn't always like the fit, people preferred a different logo etc etc... all quite a mission at the end of the day. There was zero profit, too. If you've got a permanent marker and a plain T shirt then help yourself, you have my permission

Guessing you’re using a five string? I can recommend Elixir strings - they could be the perfect solution for you. They do a .45-.130 set but also sell single .125 strings. They aren’t cheap but they last forever. I’ve got sets over a year old!

And a string!

As long as it’s sent with insurance and I pay with PayPal there’s no risk my end. Some came from a shop and others from private sellers. To be honest I have found that good international insured shipping is better then domestic shipping quite often!

We don’t know anything yet. In the long term it could all be rather positive.
-
I’ve edited mine too. Those are just the ones I have now - I’ve bought from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Canada, USA, Japan... think that’s all 🤔
-
Every one of mine was from abroad. Makes no difference to the buyer at all, except maybe an extra day to wait. OK you can’t play them first but if you buy wisely you can always move it on for the same price if it’s not for you. Vigier from France Smith from Portugal G&L from USA

Leather strap with buckle, not loops for adjusters?
ped replied to dorsetbod's topic in Accessories and Misc
Someone on Etsy will make you one. Search for ‘leather guitar strap’ and nearly all the handmade items can be customised or specced from scratch. -

It changed hands from one publisher to another, finally to be amalgamated into a general guitar show. Following comments observed on Basschat I made the decision to present once again a dedicated show exclusively for bass players! The bass community is an important one and like it’s rhythm section drumming brothers and sisters, it deserves its very own spotlight to champion the art of playing bass; it’s cool, why wouldn’t you! Artists Richard Bona, Jerry Barnes, Leland Sklar, Marco Mendoza have all been confirmed, with other great names in the mix we hope to announce soon! Bass players, this is the single show for you – It’s for your community of low-end lovers, so spread the word, come and see what we can offer you and come and hang out for the weekend at a show just for you. Like before, we want to prove to all the cynics, bass players are worthy of a dedicated show just for them – so help me prove them wrong and once again, come along. Saddle alignment? Naahh..... why bother?

Looks like the A string has just popped out of the nut and the seller didn’t notice for the photo. -
The best ones IMO are the recessed Dunlop type but they have to be installed by a pro. I like that when there's no strap attached there's no 'button' on the bass. Neat. Otherwise I use rubber washers on my other basses but those washers go over strap buttons that also accept the Dunlop strap if the need arises. So that's handy.

I think I made a big hole. The 13 pin connector I mounted on a plate to hide the hole. I’ve got a pic somewhere, I’ll add them.

With the GK in ‘mix’ mode (where I leave it, I don’t install the switch because I can switch it via the VB99) the pre-amp works when I’m using the magnetic pickups. Not sure how, I just followed the instructions!
