Just search for the username in that forum, and it'll find the thread.
Some people have a link to their thread in their profile. I don't think it's possible for us to embed it into their profile page but it might be at some point if the software allows.
Yeah get the Tecamp
Also worth mentioning having toneprint is great because if you load in the Spectracomp you’ll have a better compressor than most heads with it ‘built in’
They only mute open strings, so people tend to use them for tapping. Foam at the other end is cool though and gives a nice muted sound that you may find useful.
Not at all - it's just that we had one persistent spammer who registered an account and PMd everyone with a wanted ad offering the item they were after. After we closed about 10 of his accounts we decided to make it invisible to stop him. It worked!!
Cheers
Sorry yes you're right, the extra knob controls the level of boost/cut, whereas the Passion has a switch for cut or boost and the level is pre-set.
Also the Arpege has a series/parallel switch
Indeed - however the Arpege semi-parametric extra control knob alters the frequency of the boost/cut knob. It was also available with a ROM preamp without the removable pre-amp cartridges you mention for the Passion bass. Instead it had a 12 position switch http://www.vigierguitars.net/bcatalog/bfcv4.htm
I've never tried the ROM preamp
Some people prefer the feel of it. Otherwise if you play between the pickups there’s quite a gap below them to the body. Sometimes having a ramp can encourage more consistent and accurate playing. I’ve had them in basses before, but only in basses where the pickups don’t naturally act like a ramp anyway.
