  1. I just mean that I’d have the FI on my desk and turn it in and off with my hand rather than stepping on it so rather than footswitches I’d prefer a button I can press, although some footswitches buttons are ok to press by hand. Probably a faff to change though
  2. For my use I’d prefer no footswitches, instead some finger friendly buttons would be better. Not that I expect you to make one specially or anything!
  3. Great! Sounds like a nice day out. Didn’t you buy a Smith recently, too?
  4. I think in the future the 'inTput' models will be worth mega bucks
  5. I reckon google have allowed a dodgy ad through. We use Adsense for some ads and it’s controlled by them.
  6. It suits the shape of your bass better too- the Stingray looks weird because the horns are really dark. Plus it looks gross.
  7. Not so much, that looks more like an exploding galaxy and is much more palatable
  8. I think that looks appalling. Kind of like the bass is see-thru and you're actually looking at the festering insides of the player's stomach or some such
  9. 😆 In all seriousness I have passed it on up the chain and will report back. But last time we came back clear and it was a user with malware. @Beedsteryou may have seen it when we had the issue with Google Adsense a few months ago?
  10. Not really 'multi' though is it

    New Ashdown pedals

Yeah good points. I hope to have sex one day so I can compare 😂

    New Ashdown pedals

I see your point, but I rather like the fact they keep making so many random bits. It's that sort of approach that can produce an absolute cracker now and then - rather than boring safe designs based on someone's something else.

    New Ashdown pedals

You guys are quick to judge, and a bit harsh IMO - a vox pop at a trade show isn't ever going to be much good - it's noisy, the interviewee is often unprepared, tired, asked the wrong questions. The pedals may not have been fully launched yet with demos etc, maybe they were rushed into prototypes for the show and a full release will follow - they might be really good?! Wait and see. It's a bit of a shame to see so many people ready to shoot down one of our own UK brands.
  14. Looks great - I don't actually have a FI yet but will have one so I'm ready when I do!
  15. Yeah a bit. Never really go for the 'hype' though. One thing struck me as amusing though - the Chinese company who make copies of loads of basses had a stand there... one copy they produce is a Rickenbacker. I hope they were near the Rickenbacker stand. I'd love to have seen JH's face.

    Reverb?

Love reverb. I haven't used it live but at hoe through headphones it gives a real ambiance like you say, and fattens up the groove. It also pairs really well with synth bass, leading to some really cool sounds. With my mini bass (avatar) I tend to assign reverb mix to the knob on the bass and when playing solo it makes for a really warm and 'full' sound. It took me a while to realise what it was that made some slap bass samples i heard sound so good - I can't remember who they were but IIRC it was an online library of bass sounds I used to listen to now and then. One of them, I think it was a Celinder jazz bass, had a touch of reverb and it sounded great - I didn't have a reverb pedal at the time but as soon as I had one I was thinking this is what I was missing - now it sounds weird playing without it!

    Remote sessions?

    No mics needed IMO

    Remote sessions?

I know a few people who have done this, and i've done it myself a few times for fun, not payment - definitely better than using a studio, by the time you've paid for the session you'll do well to break even when paid for the job. I wouldn't use an amplifier, just a decent audio interface and headphones so you can play 'in the mix'
