  1. @bass_japan_directUsed to import these for customers, not sure if that's still the case?
  2. Email John Hall, I’m sure he’d be accommodating and grown up about it How about a drip of clear nail varnish?
  3. They’re lovely. I had a 02-strong model, 36” jazz. Fantastic build and sound. Only sold it because it had a beautiful pearl binding around the top but no forearm cutaway. Also had a Twentyfour model which was superb, too. Think I sold it to buy a car a while ago. So yes I highly recommend them 👍🏼
  4. That’s perfect thanks very much for that 👍🏼
  5. I had one for years until I updated to the VB99. Just as @EMG456 says it’s a great unit for basses with the synth pickup (two of mine have them) and excellent as a preamp/fx unit for anything else.
  6. Thanks! Will do!
  7. D'oh!!
  8. I swear someone here has one of these!
  9. My advice, if you plan on using the same strap on several basses is to get the buttons too and keep them somewhere safe. You never know when you’ll need them - take it from me I spent ages trying to find one half and then ages trying to find the other half (different locks) so it might be worth getting the set!
  10. Hi folks. I’m wondering if my bass will fit in the Gator case. The body will be fine but I’m concerned about the width of the headstock area as the Smith headstock is quite big. Can anyone measure it for me? Specs on the site only show size for the length and body dimensions and it looks a bit tight even on a Fender style headstock. 11. I'd use a wireless connected to someone in a listening station studio on Planet Earth. Cape Canaveral is set up for just such a mission.
  12. Very nice bass and a great price. You won’t find better for £999!!!
  13. Thomann say: Length adjustable from 1020 - 1250 mm Seems about right, think my preferred length is about 100cm depending on thickness.
  14. Can measure max and minimum length master if anyone wants.
  15. I actually have it on the shortest setting and it’s bang on! I like my bass in the same position standing as when I’m sitting.
  16. My fave bass in the classifieds at the moment. Stunning!
  17. Hope you like it. I should work for Ibanez
  18. Love these pedals. I haven’t ever found a filter that has the same squelch on the low end. Everything else I’ve tried has a kind of whistle sound when pushed whereas the FX25 just burps.
  19. I think weight does affect the sound, but it’s merely one of a whole range of things that affect how a bass sounds and feels and by no means the most important. And even then, the weight could be beneficial or detrimental to the sound when mixed with different factors like electronics, neck type, hardware, strings, even the finish. As such it’s impossible to say, and the only way to judge an instrument is as a sum of its parts.
  20. Great, glad to help, hope you like it
  21. The LMB3 is a very good limiter imo.
  22. I use Bose AE2W for music and bass playing (using the optional cable for the latter) they sound near enough exactly like my bass does to the desk and they handle the range of the instrument really well. Can be had fairly cheap too.
  23. Shared on the BC FB page. Sorry to hear the news and keep us up to date.
  24. He’s gone now folks.
