  1. I’ll do some for you. It’s complicated to explain but so it can track each string at the same time you use just the Roland pickup, so you have to choose a bass model to begin with (including the setting where you can out pickups wherever you like and choose what type of preamp and pickups) and then add the polyphonic effect, so as you can imagine there are millions of sounds available. That’s why it’s taken me so long to get into it. That’s before you add effects and an amp/cab lol. It’s quite weird because it sounds exactly like playing a full sized bass... come on get yours ordered!
  2. Nice to hear this, glad you all like our little community. It’s been a pleasure to run and has been a massive part of my life.
  3. You’ll be interested in this - this week I’ve been setting up and playing the polyphonic octaver. This means I can play -1 octave and do chords or just not worry about tracking at all (no glitches whatsoever). Then I discovered you can add another -2 octave on top of that.
  4. Dispatched by Amazon or sold through amazon? Loads of fakes out there. I believe Elixir have some info in their site about how to identify them. I talk to Elixir a fair bit and they haven’t changed anything as far as I’m aware but I’ll double check for you. Hope not as I use them too, and love them to bits.
  5. So he makes he hardware too? Fair play, if so. Otherwise I just cannot envisage how a Jazz Bass could be improved past a certain point. And Paul Turner endorses something different all the time.
  6. I grew up in Witney and had a friend who lived just behind the brewery. We were jamming in his living room when the explosion/fire happened, must have been about ten years ago, maybe more. They used to do this alcopop called Beetlejuice, it was lovely.
  7. Too much Hobgoblin?(you’re Witney, aren’t you?)

    Vigier Porn!

Very nice. How does it sound? Does it have the memory preset preamp?
  9. Ok let me know how you get in and give me a shout when you’ve done them. Sorry about the problem, as I say it looks like they were posted during a database index or similar when we were moving servers
  10. Hm very strange, yes perhaps try posting one again and see if that works. Maybe they were posted whilst the site was being updated or something. Give it a go. DO you have a £20 sub? if not PM me and I'll sort you out.
  11. Please see the following post explaining why we do not allow links to Rickenbacker instruments
  12. Hi folks This forum is for posting truly weird and wonderful items from eBay. Weird can mean something really strange, from 20 string basses to home made knock off bodge jobs. Wonderful means just that - things which are really unusual and desirable. We don’t support eBay financially so please stick to these guidelines rather than sharing anything you see which you are interested in - such as a fairly run of the mill instrument with a low start price - out it in your watch list instead! Please do not post items from Facebook, gumtree or anywhere else. Needless to say, this forum is not for sharing your own listings either Thanks ped
  13. More cans of worms coming this way soon!
  14. No harm in asking IMO. We have something in the pipeline, just got to wait for rick to tie the ends together. Hopefully more progress soon.
  15. The problem is that @charic started a new job in the interim. We’ve got the location field done but it needs pushing to the live site. Hopefully soon!
  16. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/x2-CARRIE-UNDERWOOD-Custom-Made-Guitar-Control-Knobs-Suite-Telecaster/323256970552?hash=item4b439ded38:g:tj4AAOSw-qVa0A7H Probs just get these
  17. I don't think so - I used to use FX25s with the adaptor you posted. As long as it takes a 9V battery too, then it should be fine. But I'm doubting myself now!
  18. Yes, a TC Electronic BH800. I use the spectracomp toneprint which helps keep the board punchy. Full rig is bass > Roland VB99 > TC BH800 > Bassboard Headphones and computer connected to VB99 ...but yes you could use your regular bass amp into the board and either plug your headphones into your amp or even the board has a headphone out. IIRC the board behaves like an 8ohm cabinet.
  19. I have one in my office and for practicing it’s just fantastic. Headphones on, board plugged in, feels like I’m in front of a full stereo 20x10 rig on a bouncy stage.
  20. That’s strange. Are you definitely signed in on the other devices? Anyone else having the same problem?
