  1. Yep, I think it sounds great... adds a nice accent to the note. Used sparingly, it can be really nice. I think you'd have to do it loads to cause any undue wear on the frets. Weirdly, it sounds much more pronounced on some basses than others. I'd like to be able to develop my technique to do those quick bends during faster parts, a mixture between bending and kind of shaking your fretting hand. Easier and sounds great on fretless.
  2. Welcome, fellow pug enthusiast?
  3. It's got to be from a few days ago (otherwise it'll say how many hours)
  4. Hi guys Ive got two of these but haven’t got room for them both. This one is in new condition (still has plastic bag). Only used once for storing a bass inside. I don’t think it’s ever left the house, except when we moved! Specs and info here https://www.fusion-bags.com/collections/guitar-gig-bags/products/fg-double-electric-bass-guitar-gig-bag I can post pics but it’s literally in new condition so nothing to show. Collection only from York or can meet within reasonable distance for fuel and I’ll come in a helicopter Cheers ped
  5. I believe it’s a volume knob and coil switch for the four coil pickup
  6. I think you’re all weird
  7. Yes we use wingdings now. Not really. - comic sans. But no seriously, no.

  10. Agree with Skol (apart from slackening strings, which I never do), INSIST on the buyer paying for insured shipping and you will be taking no more risk than shipping within the UK

    Sting new bass?

Didn’t really want to listen to the song but I don’t think so. Despite what you might think these little things sound surprisingly ‘full’ and ‘big’
  13. Glad everyone had a good time well done everyone.

    Sting new bass?

Here we go. Mayones logo on this one:
  15. The hope is that people will use tags more, thus making the sidebar fill up with suggested further reading. It’s a good idea, I like it. Either way, we can’t change it.
  16. Hi mate. Let me know which you want deleting and I’ll do it. For example, all pics from before April.
  17. Let me know if you want any detailed pics or measurements, although mine is 17” scale.
  18. Another great build to follow! Looks great, wish I had the skills to try something like this! Watching with interest! FYI one of the things that makes he Wingbass feel small and neat is the fact that the hardware is sunk into the body and it uses mini control knobs etc. That means the fretboard is very close in height to the body, and you can also get a super low action.
  19. ‘Twas all about the Wildcat bike when I was a young pedlet. Built in sound effects, probably my first synth.
  20. Well this is interesting - basically if it comes off the parcel, you're screwed: CITES application forms and guidance can be found here : https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cites-imports-and-exports and here : https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cites-imports-and-exports#forms Please be aware that there is a processing fee : https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cites-imports-and-exports#charges It is our understanding that the permits should be attached to the outside of any parcels. But this is an area of work covered by the UK Border Force CITES Team based at Heathrow. They can be contacted here [email protected] The onus is on the applicant or exporter to identify the species of wood in a specimen. If a permit is lost in the post between us and the applicant, we will issue a new permit, but only after 2 weeks, as this is the amount of time allowed by Royal Mail for post to be considered lost. If a permit is lost by a shipper after the export has taken place, the re-issue is problematic, as the Regulations only allow us to issue if a specimen is in the UK. If the specimen arrives in an importing country without valid documentation then it is likely to be seized by the border authorities, and falls under their jurisdiction. Any importer should check with the CITES MA in their country, on that countries import requirements. All CITES documents should be in place before any arrangement to ship a specimen are made. I hope this goes some way to explain the procedures. Please be aware though that the issue of a CITES document is not a formality and without sufficient background information we may not be able to issue a document. Regards

  22. Looks great so far! There are a few ‘small scalers’ here including myself. Watching with interest.
