Elixirs. I have a set on my Passion that are about three years old and they sound new. I use them on everything now and don’t even think about string death any more. -

Gotta be the Vigier! I have used a selection of different Passion basses in a funk metal Welsh math-core band (!) and the way they cut through the mix live was excellent. Rock solid construction and amazing neck. A bit different but not so much it can be pigeon holed into a style of music. -
They also come in Basschat colours!

Ah that's right. I can't see them on mine, though mine does have a headphone out which I have no use for.

Actually I think they have beefed it up a little - mine is an older TecAmp one and the Each ones have some kind of fan or fan looking gubbins on the bottom. Mr Eich told me they are the newest version that is more powerful. That said, I often find mine too powerful so I can't imagine it being much of an improvement!!

Elixir tension charts here https://www.elixirstrings.com/support/string-tension-for-tuning-guitar I use super light with a very low action and love them to bits - they are slightly higher tension than other strings of the same gauge, although being super light they are relatively low tension as a whole.

I don’t think so, I’ve seen several people standing on one at once. Perhaps worth an email to Eich but I’d be surprised. I have a fairly heavy chair on mine.

You can simulate the effect of a fat finger by putting the headstock against a wall when playing. See if that helps first.

I'm sure it'll work, the units are pretty solid - the bass will need setting up on the device you plan to plug it into to make it work 'well'. -

Well worth calling Watford Valves. I use them a lot in the past and they are always really helpful and interesting to talk to. When it does to pre-amp valves, I'd be tempted to buy a few and try them out.

Looks nice, that. Worth a punt I’d say, probably will be fairly easy to sell in the UK if you don’t get on with it, given it’s a familiar style.

Here’s one on the back of my headstock and here’s one on my mini bass. Stuck with 3M double sided tape but on mini bass I may adapt the clip attached to the back of the tuner to attach it permanently also so that it swivels outwards for batt replacement.

I remove the clip from the polytune and attach it to my bass permanently. Always interested to hear about other tuners but many have uneven surfaces on the back so it can’t be stuck to me bayzz

You could do some basic editing in terms of snipping off the beginning and end but I wouldn’t worry doing more than that. And yes once uploaded you just put the link here.

If you've enabled desktop notifications (for example if someone replies to thread you have open but you're in anther tab) that may have an impact on your browser, so maybe try turning those off.
