  1. So you can’t use headphones out of an MS60B?
  2. Some of these look lovely. I really like this one Some of the links didn’t work... would like to see more!
  3. Too many strings
  4. Keep the volume down, you'll rattle your fillings out!
  5. Well surely it's an improvement on you waking around with a 'Pocket Rockit'
  6. Personally I'm not 100% convinced that hanging a bass by the neck is very good for it.
  7. In my defence I never tried it naked!
  8. OK the cloth arrived - turns out it's completely black rather than the 'salt 'n' pepper' style as per the listing. (although looking at the photo of my amp it kind of depends on the lighting) For now I've covered the grille of the amp, which works fine as the curved ends of the grille actually do a great job of grabbing the cloth and holding it. I'll still make a wooden frame though next week. Here's a quick snap. Really pleased with how it looks now, nice and clean! I might get a folding handle for the top, like a flight case style sprung handle. Any ideas what I can call it, there's room for a logo on the top front edge (with a label gun!!)
  9. You’d be a sucker to buy one!
  10. Unless they’re Elixirs
  11. What's wrong with reviving an old thread?
  12. You'll have to manually unfollow any threads you participated in before you unchecked those boxes.
  13. I started what I thought would be a shit hot fishing forum about 15 years ago - why people insist on discussing bass guitars is beyond me - given up now.
  14. I’ve got two basses with internal installation but using the GK pickup still. It’s called something catchy like GK-KIT-BG
  15. Here you go!
  16. Well nobody asked for it and now I've done it. I found myself at a loose end yesterday (actually there were several things I could have been doing instead) so without any forethought or planning I fired up my iPad and recorded this little video. I'm sure there's a better way of doing it but I did the video on the iPad, audio on my iMac with garage band then bounced them together and added some text. Seemed to go ok so now I may do some better ones. Anyway here you can enjoy the sound of my mini bass and the VB99 which I love for it's flexibility. I've had it (and the previous version before it) for about 10 years now and I'm still finding new things to do with it. Hope you enjoy! ped
  17. And so many nice headstocks ruined by an ugly body!
  18. Hi Steve Just a heads up, isn't it a GK3-B not GR3-B? Might help people find it. Interested to hear about the internal install in your ACG - I have two basses with internal GK pickups, love them.
  19. Thanks! Here’s the cloth I bought. I’ve decided to cut some MDF into a square and then cut out the centre to make a rigid frame that won’t need glueing. I can use the pillar drill at work to do it and probably nick some wood too.

    NBD

Not a bad price. I prefer the matte black one on here though
  21. I've put him on Post Approval (so anything he posts will have to be approved by us first) and sent him a rather to-the-point email regarding his actions from this point onwards. Unless he sorts you out @joegarcia he won't be coming back here again, and I'll co-operate with the Police should you like to get in touch with them about it. Contact detail wise, I have an email address and home address which may help the Police if necessary. Feel free to message me and I can pass these on to the relevant authority.
  22. Very cool, it looks really tactile and has stunning attention to detail.
  23. I’m in York so fairly close. Tempted!
  24. Some bridges really don’t go very low, and I’ve removed parts of saddles before to get the super low action I like. It’s quick and easy and perfectly ok if the string has something stable to rest on. In fact, the bridge in my Marleaux had those same ‘blades’ and even at their lowest they were a good 3mm too high, so I took them out. I think the bridge was ETS?
