  1. Hmm. Can you set it with a high ratio so it works like a limiter, using a TonePrint? 20:1 or more? (Just realised you’re talking about the mini but I’m on abiut the normal sized which takes battery power)
  2. Welcome Josh, get Stuck in, I hope you enjoy the site.
  3. I just spent an hour listening to synths on YouTube
  4. I've now started modding the Roland Micro Cube somewhat. Nothing OTT but since removing the plastic corner protectors I've also put the rubber feet on the side so the amp sits rotated 90 degrees with the input and controls on the side of the box. This means I can sit on top of it and also it fits under my coffee table without having to remove the lead. Next I am changing the metal grille for a wooden frame covered with black speaker cloth, which should look quite nice. Hardly warrants a build thread... will update when it happens! Any tips for covering a wooden frame with cloth? I've got some decent non stretchy stuff that I plan on basically stapling to the frame, then attaching the frame to the cab by using lego bricks or velcro... I presume covering the existing metal grille with cloth is a no-no, but that said I've only read that in connection with big cabs in large rigs, which might produce flapping against the grille. Hardly an issue in this case...
  5. Agreed on the lack of musicality and the wearing a hat indoors, but I do find techniques like this interesting; although i'd never use it for a full 'riff', I do enjoy using my bass percussively and familiarising myself with the feel and tonal qualities of the instrument. Sitting in front of the TV this kind of exercise is quite useful, but probably not in a band situation.
  6. I think we tried it but it didn't work - we've got a test site up now and it's on the list of things to fix and push to the live site.
  7. Thanks. Always really enjoyed Carvin gear. I suppose costs are the reason?
  8. Try Youtube. Tons of great drum tracks there which you can use, often at the exact tempo you want.
  9. Nothing like a NBD, congrats
  10. They’re actually bigger and more widely spaced than the letters on your on screen keyboard. We don’t have any control over things like that anyway, it’s part of the software.
  11. Don’t ask us, but please feel free to contact Invision who make the software.
  12. It’s gone now

Glad you like the bass! What’s your serial number? Got any more pics? These are really unique basses with lots of unique features that just work together so nicely to produce something really special. As I said in our PMs, the range of sounds available far exceed what I thought possible with two pickups so close together. And the clarity and even definition of both together sounds really smooth and powerful, like my friend said “like a brick covered in velvet” @LeftyJ you could replace the bridge no problem, the older basses had the excellent Schaller 3D bridge. I’m not actually a fan of the Kahler as I found the saddle position I wanted was always half a turn between the groove being lined up in the string direction (the saddles screw up and down like grub screws) - fine if it works out but awkward if not. In the end I filed the saddle down to taste.
  14. You bloody love it
  15. To embed images just use img tags like before, or just drag the actual image into the editor.
  16. Reverb is one of my favourite effects and I use it all the time when playing at home, so much so that when I play bass through my headphones without reverb sounds really weird. I agree a reverb with a high and low cutoff can be useful - I actually like adding it to the lows and cutting the highs for some applications, it creates a nice warm soundscape. I haven't ever used it live.
  17. Love reverb. Try the TC Electronic Hall Of Fame (they do a stereo version)
  18. He has now
  19. Done it a few times. Last time it arrived after a week or so, though the tracking said it hadn’t even been picked up yet. There was no duty to pay - until a bill arrived about three months later!! I should have moved. Fwiw I booked the courier myself with TNT through Parcel2go

    I !

Bon jaw! Your English is better than my French!
  21. Its a shame because I like the form factor - plugging right into the bass is a neat idea (as are the Vox Amphone headphones) but the unit is seriously hissy and poor build quality, too.
  22. Yeah the B1on, little one without the volume pedal.
  23. Forgot to add them to my ‘tried, gave up’ list. Tried the HD2 from IK and it had latency that was really off putting. Then I tried the original iRig belonging to a friend, it was noisy and latent. I know some like them but unless it’s just me who suffers from latency issues, I really don’t know how people stand it. Suppose it might be ok live but really noticeable through headphones.
  24. Yes you can. Also it has a built in looper and drum patterns.
