  1. Looks like the threads with that specific term are over a year old so they won't be found at the moment for the reason Charic says above. You can search the site using google, add 'site:Basschat.co.uk' at the start. When you're uploading pics are they definitely 'on' your phone as opposed to stored in the cloud? I notice you're using an iPhone so when you choose the pic it should show a blue tick before you go forward.
  2. I hope so. Expecting to hear back tomorrow so will continue to chase/pester. I'll check if the discount works against early tickets too.
  3. Here's a test/excuse to show Sybil (click to choose files, photo library, click, job done)
  4. Uploading from your phone is the same as from desktop, simply browse for the pic. What happens when you try? Works for me every time. Can you give me an example of a search which delivers the results you describe?
  5. Not sure what's wrong there - uploads are much easier now, where are you uploading from? What's wrong with the search? again, that's 100% better than before... also the site is flying speed wise at the moment.
  6. I always used to click the bullet to take me to first unread and title for the first post in a topic. That’s still the same on the new site.
  7. Hi guys I've just got off the phone with the organisers and can confirm that BC will have a stand this year in the Foyer which will be an un-amplified space so we can chat properly. We'll soon be announcing a BC discount code so as soon as I hear I'll send information to everyone by email and add the voucher to our shop. More news as it happens - @LondonBassGuitarShow will be coming to update us, too. Cheers ped
  8. Worth noting that when stuff gets moved, it’s visible in both forums.
  9. OK great let me know - we did have an issue with email a few days after launching (we also changed the default a few times) so it should work OK now. Check spam, too.
  10. Anyway I'm back at a computer now. I can see some that @Hamster has moved - possibly to make them appear in the accessories forum as well as DB? But yes from now on we can leave any posts in the DB forum alone unless requested...
  11. Notification settings are at the top of the pop up notification window.
  12. Can you give me some examples? Some links would be useful. Cheers just a bit busy at the mo.
  13. We all moderate all sections now. Please report anything you want by clicking on the report button in the top right. Usually we don't move marketplace items so it may have simply been listed in those areas by choice.
  14. Welcome! It's always interesting to hear how people found the forum. Enjoy!
  15. Hi Basschatters This is the first in a series of posts showing the new site features and walking you through how best to use them. Today we'll look at 'tagging' Tags can be added to any post and they are useful for lots of reasons. So let's go ahead and post something with tags. Here I'm selling a 1960 jazz bass (yeah right). I've added some tags in the box below my title. Tip: use single words, that are likely to appear in similar posts. Do not use two word tags as they are less likely to match tags elsewhere on the site, for example 'Fender' will come up a lot more than if I tagged 'Fender 1960'. Simply write the word and separate with a comma (above, I typed Fender, jazz, 1960,) So now when I submit my post, if other posts on the site have tags that match mine, they'll appear on the right as 'similar content'. Here's an example of someone using the tagging system: You can see any other posts using the tags appear on the right. This can be really helpful in directing people to similar content for threads about a certain brand, an issue or a topic. You might think 'but why would I want other listings to appear if i'm listing something for sale' - well, by adding tags to your post, you're advert will feature in any ads using the same tags as yous. In general, it'll help buyers find your item. If you click a tag, it'll automatically open the search index and find any posts with that tag. So - try tagging your posts. Remember, stick to brand names, numbers of strings, terms you may find link elsewhere. Examples of tags not to use are things like: 'New bass today' - try 'NBD'. 'Got cancelled' - try 'cancelled' 'Acoustic amplifier - try 'Acoustic' and 'combo' Have fun and ask if you have any questions! ped
  16. Sweet. It’s not my old one is it? Can’t remember who I sold it to! I’m pretty sure mine had the same nick in the leather under the logo.
  17. Thanks for sharing. Will have a listen tonight. Congrats on the release
  18. I'm in York mate (it's in my profile and in the ad, lol)
  19. Those are both from the old site and we haven't been able to 'fix' them up yet. Anything post the move is fine, and we'll eventually get round to fixing the old stuff, too - but for now you can hopefully grab the links and use those in the meantime.
  20. Indeed they are quite loud and full sounding. I modded mine a bit by taking the badges off the grille (one rattled) and took off the plastic corner protectors. Looks rather neat.
  21. For true ‘behind the sofa’ flexibility you need battery power. I fear many of the setups here are a bit too ‘much’ for the OP’s requirement. Roland Micro Cube RX would fit the bill
