  1. This. Thanks...
  2. Notification settings are at the top of the pop up notification window.
  3. Can you give me some examples? Some links would be useful. Cheers just a bit busy at the mo.
  4. We all moderate all sections now. Please report anything you want by clicking on the report button in the top right. Usually we don't move marketplace items so it may have simply been listed in those areas by choice.
  5. Welcome! It's always interesting to hear how people found the forum. Enjoy!
  6. Hi Basschatters This is the first in a series of posts showing the new site features and walking you through how best to use them. Today we'll look at 'tagging' Tags can be added to any post and they are useful for lots of reasons. So let's go ahead and post something with tags. Here I'm selling a 1960 jazz bass (yeah right). I've added some tags in the box below my title. Tip: use single words, that are likely to appear in similar posts. Do not use two word tags as they are less likely to match tags elsewhere on the site, for example 'Fender' will come up a lot more than if I tagged 'Fender 1960'. Simply write the word and separate with a comma (above, I typed Fender, jazz, 1960,) So now when I submit my post, if other posts on the site have tags that match mine, they'll appear on the right as 'similar content'. Here's an example of someone using the tagging system: You can see any other posts using the tags appear on the right. This can be really helpful in directing people to similar content for threads about a certain brand, an issue or a topic. You might think 'but why would I want other listings to appear if i'm listing something for sale' - well, by adding tags to your post, you're advert will feature in any ads using the same tags as yous. In general, it'll help buyers find your item. If you click a tag, it'll automatically open the search index and find any posts with that tag. So - try tagging your posts. Remember, stick to brand names, numbers of strings, terms you may find link elsewhere. Examples of tags not to use are things like: 'New bass today' - try 'NBD'. 'Got cancelled' - try 'cancelled' 'Acoustic amplifier - try 'Acoustic' and 'combo' Have fun and ask if you have any questions! ped
  7. Looks awesome in white.
  8. Sweet. It’s not my old one is it? Can’t remember who I sold it to! I’m pretty sure mine had the same nick in the leather under the logo.
  9. Thanks for sharing. Will have a listen tonight. Congrats on the release
  10. Tempted just for the doggo
  11. I'm in York mate (it's in my profile and in the ad, lol)
  12. Those are both from the old site and we haven't been able to 'fix' them up yet. Anything post the move is fine, and we'll eventually get round to fixing the old stuff, too - but for now you can hopefully grab the links and use those in the meantime.
  13. Indeed they are quite loud and full sounding. I modded mine a bit by taking the badges off the grille (one rattled) and took off the plastic corner protectors. Looks rather neat.
  14. For true ‘behind the sofa’ flexibility you need battery power. I fear many of the setups here are a bit too ‘much’ for the OP’s requirement. Roland Micro Cube RX would fit the bill
  15. I'm moving house on the 21st of December so if anyone would like this case they can have it FOC if collected from my village just above York. It has a Vigier sticker on it but I'm 99% sure it's a generic hardcase as the inside isn't fitted to any particular shape so it will suit a Jazz, Precision or most shapes I should think. It has a few scars and a bit of damage one end but nothing that compromises the protection. Latches all good and inside is clean. Cheers ped
  16. Welcome to the site! Lovely photo.
  17. These are great. And yes lovely playing!

    New Site Features

What you COULD do is follow the marketplace forum and have it email you every time something is listed. Then set up an email filter to mark all as read/delete unless it contains the words you are after?
  19. I THINK my zero frets are all the same material as the other frets, could be wrong, but one was built in '88 and it's nice and flat like Norfolk (with the possible exception of the Broads)
  20. And only one lake!
  21. They tend to be quite common on European instruments - I don't know why everyone doesn't use them, tbh. They also make getting a super low action easier.
  22. Just to let you all know, I have added Donations to the shop. Obviously I'm not expecting any, but I wanted to play with the software anyway. So go and donate everyone!! https://www.basschat.co.uk/store/category/8-donations/
  23. 'Following' is different to 'commented on' - they are now two separate things. Confused me too at first. I tend to check my 'new posts that I've commented on' and only ask for alerts to things i've manually followed that I need to keep track of better.
  24. It will scale with your browser window, so there's less wasted space
