Wouldn't a really minimalist system would be a Zoom B3 (or similar) with an iPad into the aux, a bass, and headphones for monitoring?
I was going to say - like the OP I was looking for al all in one solution so I could play music and play bass at my desk. I ended up with quite a complicated system which works really well albeit using headphones rather than speakers. Basically: Computer + Bass --into-- VB99 --into-- HIFI + Headphones + TC BH800 into Tecamp Bassboard This way I can use the VB99 as a controller for the music on my computer, feeding the bass to the bassboard for some bottom shaking and the rest to the hifi, and when I want to play bass I simply plug it in and switch to a bass patch on the VB99 instead of my HIFI setting (with bass input off). I get full stereo effects and sound through the headphones and can record everything in real time on the computer and take off my headphones to hear it from the HIFI instantly. For a while I also ran two bass cabs in stereo from a power amp (also connected to the setup above) but found I much preferred using headphones. The cabs (SWR 4x8) sounded really good with music and bass, to be honest - though I can't recall ever being able to hear both at the same time very clearly.

Missing post

Hi, it was deleted by MB1 for some reason, he'll be along shortly to tell us why!
3. Only just seen this. It's lovely - quite a rare one, too. I have the matching Arpege model of the same age, with walnut body. The grain looks almost identical. Good luck to the new owner and let me know if you ever want to sell it!
4. My VB99 has a Mutron III type filter with a down sweep. I haven't really played with it yet but I know you were looking into the Roland at one point... nice to hear from you, hope all is well
5. Yep Stuart is a good friend of BC and a very nice bloke. Glad you got it sorted and that BC was helpful to you. Always nice to hear
6.
Testing testing 123...
That was me - can confirm it all works for me, logged in as you... another email sent!
7.
Thanks Gary I've tried what was suggested yesterday but no success. Its only BC i'm having any issue with. Dave
Hi Dave The only think I can think of is to delete your cache memory after logging out of BC, or just doing it anyway even if you can't log out. That could sort things out your end. Send me an email [email protected] and perhaps I can log in as you and have a look at your settings though it seems the issue is at your end. Can you log in on your phone or another device to confirm that? Cheers ped

Virus's
been happening for months http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 I just hold down the enter key and click on the close window x till it shuts down
Yes but it went quiet for a while after I made a change then this pops up again today when I made a similar change yesterday, hence my question.

Virus's

Ok I think it's one of the banners which calls up a code for an external tracker. Its 100% safe but presumably triggering a virus warning in some systems. I'll stop it and see if we can change the code.

Virus's
Yeah, I keep getting it, bloody frustrating and if I am honest it does discourage me from visiting the site as often as I used to!
Did it start happening again yesterday?
12. OK thanks for the update. Does Firefox have any plugins installed?
13. Shall I lock the thread now?
14. Strange. Are we talking mobile or full site, and what device/browser?
15. Click on the text rather then the blob, if that makes sense. It'll take you to the first post. The blob takes you to 'first unread'
16. Sometimes the search index can balls things up and forget to put things there so you can either wait a bit or bump your post which will help it get back within 10 mins or so. Best way to find your posts is to click on topics under your avatar in the profile page. Cheers ped
17. Nice bit of kit
18. I love slap. This guy on FB is quite cool - he responds to requests from people to do all sorts of things like 'play bass with a fidget spinner' and 'play guitar strings on a bass' so I presume this video is a response to a challenge.
19. Nice to see another V bass user. Did you ever try the VB99?
20. Hi Byo I have a Fusion double gig bag and it's excellent - there's a review here somewhere. I also got lucky on eBay and won a Scott Dixon built Fender case. It's the same basic construction as their normal cases but the inside is a bit more basic, with simple dividers rather than the locking sort they do now. I'm in York and if you wanted to borrow it, or check out the Fusion case, let me know! Cheers ped
21. That... is cool.
22. Seems a bit mean spirited to me.
23. Sorry for the short notice
24. 10:00 this evening for about 10 minutes whilst some updates are installed. Things should be fine after but sometimes we notice the search index can play up for a day or two. Cheers ped
