[/quote] Not sure of the exact pathway but following the instructions with the kit I ended up with essentially two independent outputs - standard jack functions as normal in active/passive and 13 pin the same, with the GK bypassed it functions the same as the 1/4" out in active and passive. I can take some pictures if it'll help but the battery isn't drained if the active switch is on and nothing is plugged in.

Indeed - that's what I have, the 13 pin and normal 1/4" jack next to each other. The sound of the clean signal isn't affected at all. One thing to consider is what else you choose to mount from the kit - you can have as little as the pickup and the output, or you can also mount up and down switches, an LED, and a volume/assignable control. I chose to do just the volume/assignable pot but later added the up/down switches too.

I'll never sell my Vigier. I've had it for 10 years now, it's been my main - and mostly only - bass for the majority of the time I've been working on Basschat/Basstalk/Bassworld and it's been adjusted, modified and worked on by lots of BCers throughout the years. It's not only a truly fantastic instrument but a real tangible piece of the BC story, to me.

Hi guys Accidentally stumbled on to 4Music earlier trying to find my daily dose of Police Interceptors. There was a nice tune on but they didn't say who it was. I assume, being on 4music it was a chart song but I don't listen to the radio and my GF hadn't heard it before either. I wonder if anyone can ID it for me from my observations (I only heard maybe 30 seconds but thought it would be fun to play along to - I may be wrong upon second hearing) but: - White male singer with short dark hair - Piano/bass/guitar/vocal setup - Relaxed groove, slightly mellow song - Bass sounded upright but briefly saw bassist (skinny black chap) playing a fretless jazz IIRC - Looked like they were playing outside an italian restaurant with a glass roof (akin to the restaurants found around the old train station in Windsor) no special effects just different shots of them playing (in the bit I saw anyway) - Nice smattering of piano in the groove, not piano led but it was a prominent part of the melody ummm that's about it. Long shot, I know. But I simply can't watch 4music again in case I end up seeing a Kardashian so please help! Cheers ped P.S have trawled 4music site and UK top 40 vids on Youtube, can't see it I don't think..

Bass is only 6.6lbs/3kg and Sybil is 9.8Kg

I quite like TB, used to be on there a lot before BC - the main thing I disliked was the US based marketplace. Hardly their fault I've been given warnings there for things that I wouldn't do here, but their house, their rules etc. Lots of good info there and some friendly people, but sadly not many Vigier players - for that I head to French forum OnlyBass
