1.
I'd be happy for this to exist and if it did there should be a gigantic sticky that says, "USE A METRONOME". Honestly if I'd known how useful metronome practise was from day one my progress would have been A LOT quicker. There are even free metronome apps for your phone now, you've simply GOT to do it.
That's a good tip - perhaps a thread of 'beginners tips' would be interesting.
2. What would you like to see there? We have a few sticky topics but tend to keep them to a minimum as they generally get overlooked. We don't mind people asking basic questions in the main forums, either - we all start somewhere. Cheers ped

Feedback for steve

Steve bought my mixer and was a pleasure to deal with. A great BCer, thanks Steve ped
4. Thanks guys pedal is now sold
5. In very good condition, but a few chips here and there! It's the early 80's version which sounds better to my ears. Really nice squelch when driven hard. The battery flap is missing (aren't they always?) but I've replaced it with a piece of plastic that does the same job. You can buy the flaps on eBay though if you prefer. No box! £50 posted Good video here which demonstrates its great sound. Cheers ped
6. One. I went up to 5 at one point, but realised that I wanted to make 'my sound' and always gravitated towards one bass. It's outplayed and outlived all the others, and I've had it for 10 years now! Doesn't stop me looking for a second, though. I'll never learn...

Boss FS6 alternatives
Try this guy out. He made me up a box for switching my RC50, just tell him what you want and hell build it for you. simple.
Thanks yeah I saw that - I think for my purposes I'd prefer a 'soft' switch rather than a button, if that makes sense?
8. Short of making my own, which I might try, are there any good alternatives to the FS6? I'll only use it at sparingly and at home so it needn't be anything special. I looked at the Behringer AB200, looks OK... Cheers ped
9. A few nibbles but nothing firm..
10. Thread closed pending a BC crack team investigation, cheers all
11. Last bump or I'll stick it somewhere in the office and keep it £180?
12. Did you pay (the seller) for tracked and insured shipping? Did they specifically say it would be tracked and insured, or did you request it? If so, then they should absolutely provide proof they sent the item and send the tracking details.
13. I use the switches on my bass to move from patch to patch and most of the 'on the fly' adjustments I want to do I can control with the GK assigned knob on my bass too. It's useful for tap tempo and looping but I'll buy the cheaper two switch Boss unit for that (F5u or something?) For me, the Vbass is more of a studio/head unit rather than a pedalboard.
14. I actively sought a demotion in my last school because I enjoy teaching, not what the job becomes as you're promoted 'up the ladder'. Schools are a great model for how there's little recognition to people doing their jibs well regardless of the level of the ladder they're on. You either turn into a reluctant manager of people often twice your age and experience or you quit.
15. Bump - will take offers

VB99
I just spoke to Roland UK, who confirmed the VB-99 to be discontinued. Sadly nothing in the pipeline, so the best current one is the GR-55 and GK-3b. On another note, I've just been having some fun with the VB-99 as an effects unit - bass pugged in as normal rather than 13-pin into the modelling side. Excellent quality in there, esp. the modulation part of things, where you can use 3 different modulations in series (should you wish!). Onwards and upwards!
Indeed, I'm hoping to get a guitar and rather than get a VG99 right away, use the VB99 with the standard jack. I've been delving into the synths more and more and the flexibility is quite daunting, I spent literally a whole day customising a square wave filter. One of the best days ever. I'll post some clips ASAP as I'm 99% sure now that my main settings (clean, jazz, precision, stingray, stink synth) are sorted.

Strat info

Hm I would rather like a red one with maple neck... Also tempted with a 'Roland Ready' one as I'm a real Vbass/Vguitar fan. The idea was always to install the GK system to the guitar I buy. I've asked more about the Vigier guitar linked above...

21. Hi guys I've had this amp for years and years - can't remember where or how I got it but it's always been very good. I drive it using my V-bass unit and it powers two cabs very well indeed (used to have it hooked up to a pair of SWR cabs in stereo) Not really sure how much to ask but £250 seems about right. It's been very reliable and has been gigged and used at home a fair bit, however it's in great condition. I'll throw in a pair of speakon to 1/4" jack leads with it. Postage included but probably better collected from York or sometimes Oxford area Cheers ped
22. Hi guys It's a bit dusty but works perfectly and comes with PSU Postage included or collection from York, might even make you a regular sized cup of tea Cheers EDIT please note actual mixer is not upside down
