[/quote] As I have said a few times now, it's because the back end needed updating because the old software was unsupported for spam detection etc. It may well have been fine from a user's perspective. WIth the massive traffic we have had, the site is taking a while to catch up and get up to speed.

Make sure you have the Basschat theme selected (option at bottom) and try Ctrl+F5 ped

Met the merchendise man yesterday, we're on target for Thirsday's first batch to go out and then have 48hr dispatch after that. Good times. People who buy will have an extra warm fuzzy feeling because they have helped pay for the costs of the new upgrade and support! ped

Check the filter settings on the left - maybe you're only seeing one page because there's only one page of things. Try clicking 'view unread' and you shoudl see more than one page?

Youtube vids should be OK? Can't test as I'm at work but if you put the code at the end of the link (after the =) between [youtube]...[ /youtube] tags without the spaces they will work.

For now, I just use the 'new content' filters and I can easily track my threads there. on less busy threads the notifications are great, but on threads like this they get a bit much, so just use them wisely, I guess.

[/quote] OK I'm going to set a donation target on the home page. Setup and server will be about £500 all told to last about 2 months, so I'll see how it goes. Good idea I don;t like to beg but it would be nice to have lot sof space for us to stretch our legs. ped

A few updates: Speed - now really fast (or should be) Spiderman - should be dancing again soon (happyjack's avatar) Mobile interface - full site now working on mobiles, specific mobile skin app being worked on as an option at the moment. Calender should be on the way - on it Smaller issues raised by others RE browser issues/niggles - all being sorted bit by bit Thanks again for the patience and keep the faith, we're getting there!

It would be nice to buy the fastest and best server we can but I can't afford it myself yet. There have been some performance tweaks just now, so the site should be much quicker. ped

If everyone on BC donated a pound we would have everything everyone wants!

OK I have just prepared a fat list of little but important jobs, so hope to have some news soon. One thing is that our server is getting close to capacity - the next size up is quite a bit jump financially and I'm not sure I can afford it after I have paid for the upgrade work. However, Ben has played around with the settings and is making some performance tweaks so that should improve for a while at least. ped
