2. V nice Silddx.. Here's mine, been my #1 since as long as I care to remember. Vigier Passion 2 with Marleaux electronics and Roland GK system
3. I'm pretty sure on my 36" strung-through-bridge bass I had Elixir strings which just about fit. The G string was OK by virtue of the fact that the machine head for that string was on the opposite side of the headstock parallel with the A string (like a MM bass)

adverts

Shouldn't be anything in the reply box. All our ads are from sponsors who are bass specific though there is a 17% chance the top left banner will display something based on your browser history/cache or contents of the page, and a 50% chance of the bottom doing the same. I was changing some things around earlier today and updating some banners so that might have been it, but if it's still doing it a screen dump would be marvellous. Cheers ped
5.
Just copy the one out of the address bar - that's the usual one. i don't know what the logic is with the 'share' URL...
I think it's shortened for Twitter word limits. I always just use the one in the address bar.

7. Lovely bass... here's some tracks I recorded with it: Buyer won't be disappointed! Here's a pic of it when I had it. The extra knob on the bass is a Villex pickup booster that John East fitted in his workshop when I showed him the bass. We were both interested in the extra sounds it gave. Good luck with the sale ped
8. The pop up only occurs on a TINY section of the screen. I had to spend a few seconds trying to find where to hover. I really don't think it's a big issue for most people so just put your mouse somewhere to the right of the screen or something.
9. I got this from eBay a while back and it's superb. No name on it but it works really well and has done so for a few years now Here's the inputs:

Vigier search
Hi guys . Bit of a long shot this , but here goes . Around this time last year , there was a green burst Vigier Passion on Ebay , that sold , then was relisted , but don't know if it sold the 2nd time . Does anybody remember it ? Or even own it ? I'm now looking to shift a few bits , and I've lost the guy's number , to see if he still has it (he was in Staffordshire , I think) . If anybody knows who has it , I really would like to maybe make an offer . Long shot , this , I realise . But you never know . Paul .
I remember it, but don't know anything of it's whereabouts I'm afraid. Good luck in your search!
11.
cheers i will have a look. not a bass you see at all often. ad
I love mine and have had it for nearly 9 years now. Let me know if you see/get one. I'll keep my considerably large nose to the ground and let you know if I see any others. Ped
12. Some have gone missing in the post apparently. Thanks for your PM, a new one will be sent by the new and much better supplier. I'm only using first class signed for postage now. Have replied and apologised ped
13.
are you selling the basses?
Sorry, afraid not. There's a fretted passion on eBay though I think.
14. My pleasure, let me/us know how you get on with them. ped
15.
Ped, would you know the Frequency response of these cabs? and the SPL Db thingy
Sorry I don't know but maybe someone on here does. I found the cabs to have a great deal of grunt and a very 'full' sound. A couple of years ago I used them at the SE Bash for my Vbass demo and the sound was spot on, only let down by my ham fisted chops. I spolit my signal into stereo and have one going to the 15 and the other to the 4x8. I could indipendently turn each cab up or down to achieve a good balance and compensate for boomy stages or thin sounding halls. Cabs have just been picked up and are on their way to a new life. If I could still fit these in my car there would be no way they would be going anywhere. Simply an excellent setup if you can manage them. They are pretty light, too. Maybe I should have kept them! Cheers
16. Here are my cabs for anyone interested:
17. Cabs now sold, thanks all. May sell poweramp soon but I'll think about it Cheers ped
18. May split as I have had interest in the 4x8 (interested party already has paired cab) Definitely best used as a pair for amazing full range sound. Cheers ped
19. Time to move these on as they don't fit into my car! They sound lovely - never been happier with a set of cabs. Here are the specs: 4x8 Introduced in 1994, the 4x8 was originally designed to be run as an extension to the Silverado Combo but later became popular as part of a modular system that included the Bass 350 and Basic 2-Way. The 4x8 was discontinued in 1997. The Basic 2-Way was discontinued in 1998. Impedance: 8 ohms Power Handling Capacity: 250 watts RMS One 15" PAS driver One Piezo tweeter Weight: 59 lbs Size: 22"W x 20"H x 16.5"D Production Period: 1992 to 1998 Final Retail Price: $599.00 (taken from SWR site) I'm looking for £350 for the pair, collected from Maidenhead. Prefer not to split as they work best as a pair anyway. Amp in the pic not for sale yet but may be talked into it at a later date. Really sorry about the pics, I'll get some better ones tomorrow. Here are some pics of the 4x8 (not mine) but it shows the inputs etc. Cheers ped
20. I'll ask someone to look into it - perhaps the new IP is blocked for some reason. Will be in touch, cheers ped
21. More washers, then! I can see your pictures now (at home) ped
22. Can you two please PM me your details (paypal addresses you used to order) and I'll chase these up. Certainly not good enough they haven't arrived. Perhaps I'll have a new one sent out from the new supplier I have set up free of charge with my apologies. Perhaps they will still turn up. Cheers
23. Ah OK. Try putting a matchstick into the hole and then screw the buttons to the bass. You could put a rubber washer between the bass and the button too.
24. Sorry, your image is blocked at work!! The Schaller type to rattle a bit when secured, there's a bit of 'play' in the socket but it's quite safe. Personally I like these http://www.dangleberrymusic.co.uk/p-185-boston-guitar-strap-locks-chrome-ultrasafe-strap-lock-system-for-guitar-and-bass.aspx they are really secure and the part which attaches to the strap is more secure. On the schallers you need to add a second nut otherwise it gets loose!
25. Are they schaller type?
