1. Nice idea. I have a short clip at hand of a full song, I'll replace it when I track the full version down!! Hops it's OK, I'm sure some people here have heard it before, even.. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/85432/USB%203/Stic...20Situation.mp3 Basically a clip from an album that's still being mixed down and finished... that's my brother on drums and pissing about in the vocal booth... just a bit of a laugh really!
2. I have had a 4x8 and the matching 1x15 for a few years now. I think I paid £20 for both. They are designed to be used together and as such don't recommend the 4x8 to be used by itself, but with the 15 it's a lovely sounding setup. Shame it wasn't working, it shouldn't sound gritty at all. The 4x8 in isolation is quite peaky and bright. ped
3. I'll be there on Sunday I think (Crufts on saturday to play with some staffies) I'll have my BC T on... ped
4.
I hail from that comfy space between Oxford and Witney!
It might excite you to find that this site was started many moons ago from Witney! My parents still live there.
5. If it's an expensive bass why not meet up with the chap in Europe for the sake of a train ticket and have a nice weekend away in the process. ped

Guys, before any of you start to sound a little TOO impatient, please remember the moderators are volunteers who have lives outside the web (except Dood) so just relax a little bit and we will get round to something in the end. ped
8. Welcome buddy

Thanks chaps I'm actually only moving about 500m down the road, but the house has a garage for my '6 and it's a really nice place. I can't wait!! I better say goodbye now, but I'm really excited about the new software too, fingers crossed it won't take too long, and though it requires a lot of work, it will be well worth it!! Cheers ped I'll leave you with some lovely doggie vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMh08qKYq0U...feature=feedlik http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPjblqE3xHk...feature=feedlik

Hi Basschatters! A few messages for everyone. First of all, I am moving house as of tomorrow so will not have internet except for on my mobile for a few weeks. We are trying to get Virgin Broadband but the line doesn't extend to our house so we are having to look at having it extended or look at other options. In the meantime please contact me by email (by using the button in my profile page) rather than sending a PM. Secondly, the 'Ask An Expert' forums will be closing in a few weeks, to simplify the affiliation and advertising rules. The threads in each of those forums will be moved to their appropriate sections. DHA and Alexclaber will still be about but probably in the 'Amps and Cabs' or 'Repairs' areas and they will be operating on a non commercial basis (unless they post in the affiliates marketplace area). The final thing is that we have been saving up and will soon be upgrading to a new version of the software which we use on this forum. There are lots of benefits and it should bring BC into 2011 with a fresh new look and advanced functionality. Crazykiwi is managing the changeover as I'm absent so please direct any questions to him. See you in a few weeks and keep it low ped and Nellie
14. Just listened for first time to original video. Reckon it's quite cool and sounds like it was fun... Just my two pence ped
15.
.... get a new one Ped: there's a beauty here on BC !!! :- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=118735&hl=
I'm not sure I would buy from you again, the last one was a shocker! (just in case anyone doesn't realise I'm thoroughly joking, Eubassix is actually a top seller, knowledgeable chap and he farts rainbows) ped
16. Sweet, nice story. Where do I send mine!!
17.
Perhaps the moderators should pin this thread or even contact the organsisers to see if they would like to advertise on this site?? Perhaps the organisers would like to donate some prizes to the person who suggests this??
They are contacting me after the NAMM show so we might be able to do something soon! ped

19.
My shock and dismay at the op cannot be expressed in words. I'm just going to leave this here
I have this album at my parents house but have barely listened to it... I don't remember this track at all! I'll get it back and give it a few spins, sounds like there's more to it than I gave it credit for! ped
20. I used to really enjoy Primus, haven't listened to them for some time now, but I find all of Les' more recent stuff a bit TOO 'wacky', but sort of wacky for the sake of it. Fair play (or should that be 'Hats off') to him though, nice work if you can get it!
21. Harsh but kind of fair.
22. Interesting, thanks Dan. ped
23. I'm usually playing in passive, but if I need to I can flick a switch and make adjustments with the active circuit. My control cavity is pretty crowded!!
24. Interesting read. I wasn't aware that the GR20 was MIDI though, I thought it was the same as the Vbass in that each string is processed via the extra pickup and the unit processes that without any pitch to MIDI conversion at all. Everyone says the Vbass is MIDI because it uses a 13 pin connector but I thought the only time MIDI is involved is if you want to dump all your settings to an external device via the MIDI output. In terms of the actual unit signal chain, no MIDI, hence no latency on the Vbass unit, at least? ped
