1.
You should really have more photos of that C6!
Just for you
2. Here are a few more, taken on film and scanned with a pretty cheap home flatbed (I quite like the results though!) I put these two together because it looks like Pris has some tiny legs attached! EBS_Freak is playing the bass in the bottom of the two, I think: And here is Machines playing his Bacchus at his house before we left for Manchester:
3. Thanks for the comment - I like having a fixed focal length sometimes as it makes you really think about what you are doing! ped
4. Thanks guys. Though the camera I was using looked quite vintage it's actually a fairly modern digital rangefinder with leica mount. Shots on film are going to be posted later Cheers ped
5. Couple more on the way, hold on to yo' butts
6. Here are a few pictures I took on Bass Day - didn't really have the right setup for the occasion and I haven't developed the shots on film yet but here are a couple anyway (the first two are posted elsewhere I think in the Bass Day thread) Cheers ped Full size piccies here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chiscocks/

8.
This is to Stu. Just to say that I was that guy who got up onstage for the Dave Marks session to do jam. Thanks for the props!
Well done
9. I only took a few pics but here are the couple I have developed so far: Cheers ped
10. I'll see you all there tomorrow - I'm going to be nipping around the trade area and the stage/backstage bit taking pics for Basschat so come and say Hi! ped
11. Hi Guys Answer this question and be in with the chance of winning a free ticket to Bass Day 2010 (www.bassday.co.uk) I know some of you already have tickets but maybe you want to bring a friend, or a soon to be ex-partner Question is thus: Victor Bailey replaced WHO in Weather Report? Please DON'T PM me the answer - instead email your BC user name and real name/address to the following email address. I'll make sure Stevie adds you to the guest list at the show. Comp ends in one week. [email protected] Cheers and good luck ped
12. I like basses
13. Paypal should do a debit card... that would be awesome
14.
schallers aren't drop-in replacements for fender-style bridges.
Ah that's a shame. Thanks for clearing that up. Try calling WDmusic products and ask how much they have them for - they often have mix and match combinations (silver bridge with black saddles etc) going V cheap. Cheers ped
15.
I see it's not a string through jobbie so not as versatile for Fenders IMO. Shame though as it's a great looking unit. Have a look: HERE
I never found thru body stringing made any difference though to be honest - though possibly an argument for another thread!!
16.
Are they 'drop in' on a Fender do you know Ped?
I'm not certain, but I think so... anyone else know? ped
17. If you are after a 3 hole bridge, the Schaller 3D is much better IMO ped
18. Superb audio clip. Love it.
19. Not at all. Fretless is just as valid as fretted in every style of music, I reckon. The only time I object is when it's really cheesy. I played a fretless almost exclusively in my old funk metal band and it was fine, it really added something, but it was subtle, sounding like a fretted most of the time. Go forth and groove, don't let your lack of frets hold you back ped
20.
forgive my ignorance, but i'm guessing floor model means it's the original v-bass, not the vb-99 ?
That's right mate Great bit of kit, wouldn't be without mine!! ped

Im Back

Hello mate. Good to see you! ped
22. Having tried them all I can safely say what I like to hear is the sound of my bass, not my amplifier colouring the sound. I prefer my relatively cheap 800w 1u poweramp to the other all tube heads I have had. Works a treat and doesn't even get warm. Every time I have used a big Ampeg rig I end up sounding like someone else.

One bass only
I really do think a lot of the 'differences' between bass sounds are subtleties that escape me and probably 99% of the audience. There may be 1% of the people I play in front of thinking 'that would sound better on a Jazz/Precision/Sadowsky, Fodera, Alembic......'
I never get that argument - I mean if you can't tell and aren't bothered, cool. But I pretty much know 99% of the audience won't be able to tell, but that's no excuse not to enjoy the intracity of your gear and your sound. Imagine if music was like that. 99% of the music I listen to wouldn't appeal to 99% of the average punters out there, and I thank god for that every time I fire up the stereo. ped
24. Very cool, always enjoy your vids. I especially like the ending, to be honest I prefer that to the slap fury (but that doesn't mean it isn't impressive!!) ped
