NEW Roland Vbass

Yey! Vbass chat!! Here is my bass with the GK circuit now installed inside... for anyone that missed it!!
4. Yeah I noticed that too!! After fiddling with tiny bits of wire for so long a keyboard feels really clunky and weird... that's a good excuse... ped
5. They still give a good impression of the sound... and the improvement :0) I hate fiddling with electronics, myself - seems you are quite a pro!! As John is just down the road I persuaded him to fit mine for me!! ped
6. Nice, sounds much fuller... clips only come out of my left channel though?
7. Hmm I can't seem to access the sound clips?
8. Gorgeous... always wanted one of these...
9. Ah, the Skjold Offset Whaleback Although each to their own etc... TBH I could probably come around to the idea if it plays really nicely, which I bet they do! ped
10. Actually having looked again the Fodera is more extreme than I remember, but there is one manufacturer who make one with a MAHOOOSIVE bump, can't remember who now though
11.
This hasn't got a massive bump where the top horn should be Ped? I'd like to see a bass that does then It's a Fodera, it looks like a Fodera! If you like Fodera's you'll probably like this If not.......
I mean the top horn sort of gracefully falls away into the neck, wheras something like thsi is a really large 'bump' which looks kind of odd in my opinion: See what I mean? Not really a fan of single cuts anyway to be honest (or Foderas, only having played 2)
12.
Lined. Why make fretless bass playing anymore difficult than it already is?
Just started watching 'The Thick Of It' so I love yer' avatar!! I don't mind either way tbh... my bass is unlined but with lines and dots on the side, so it works for me. ped
13. Before I went with the Vbass and before that the pod XT pro I had a Boss RV5 that was excellent. Since having the Vbass I have discovered the joy that is stereo reverb (which I think the RV5 can do). through my IEMs, set really quiet and subtle, it makes playing solo bass feel really warm and full. ped
14. I literally don't have the time to get the packaging and take them to the P.O unfortunately :0( Come and get em folks! I have had a PM from someone who might arrange a courier to collect - if you can get someone to come on a weekday evening then that would work, and again I won't be able to pack them in any way though. Chers ped
15. It's the guitar version though Steve
16. Does the white wire go to the battery? I think the other two terminals are for the earth and the output of the pickups, earth in the centre and the pickup signal to the remaining point. Let us know which colour wire goes where and we should be able to help. ped
17. Am I the only one who finds the sound of their bass on 'Active' with the controls set in the centre exactly the same as their passive tone? I play passive most of the time but if I need some extra bite or something I can kick in the EQ - otherwise it causes no issues whatsoever.
18. For a single-cut I think the shaps is quite nice (much better than those with a massive bump where the top horn should be) but the control area looks a bit messy with the mixture of control knob types and the jack plate
19. Yeah, you have to be careful. Read the small print and make sure you get a powerful one and they are a winner!
20. These are one of the best kept secrets IMO - http://www.technicalhifi.com/cats.php?cat=27 1u, really light, cheap and great. I got an 800w one from eBay for £90, Kiwi got a 1600w one from eBay for £150ish (ours both look the same as the top one on that page, with the light strips, but mine is silver and 'unbranded' If you search for 'Technical Pro' on eBay you might strike lucky. You can but from the US too, because they are switchable voltage.
