1. Afraid I don't know the depth or anything yet, I am actually hoping it is fairly deep so that the footprint of my vbass pre sits on it securely. It looks quite deep in the pics... I will post a full report when it arrives. I have been speaking to Mark at Bass Direct about a couple of second hand 1x12 with horn bass/pa cabs which I may hook up to it. I will have to get myself there and out some cabs through their paces. As I am using IEMs anyway pretty much all the time the rig is just for a bit of fun and teaching, I may use it live for a bit of rumble where the monitors at the venue aren't up to scratch, but I think I will have a superb sounding full stereo rig for under £300... The only reason I definitely want stereo is because most of the synths I use need stereo to be fully unleashed... Cheers ped
2. Yes you are right and I plus the millions of people included in your sweeping statement are all wrong, ignorant and not as cool or talented as you :0) ped
3. Really? You are being serious? Are you drunk?! Kind of a sweeping statement I think you will agree. You are entitled to your opinion, of course. But wrong ;0) If your XT sounds like a broken 60's Hiwatt then may I suggest you aren't using it properly! Cheers ped {EDIT - Apologies Wimpy for the off topic discussion, good luck with the sale, I shouldn't think you will have much trouble, lovely bit of kit}
4. Are you saying all line 6 users play in their bedrooms? I hope not!
5. Hehe yeah its a good idea that, interested to hear about it when you have had a good old play! ped
6.
That is quite simply gorgeous, David! Is it one of the new wooden necked ones with a phelonic board? Also, is this instead of the S2-Classic you were talking about? Rich.
[Anorak] The series 4 basses feature the 10/90 system used on the series 3 basses - two usually dense carbon segments go through the neck (unusually dense as there is not much resin) giving them the same rigidity of the full carbon series 2 basses, apparently. The series 4 basses differ from the series 3 in that they are no longer neck through but a really neat bolt on design instead[/Anorak] Cheers ped
7. Here we go: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...amp;mfe=sidebar Looks OK - it won't be used a great deal so unless it takes my face off I will be happy! Cheers ped

Parker bass

Yeah I think it is a cool design, just not THAT comfortable for playing seated. Lots of innovative features on the guitar which is good to see. I seem to remember the bass being made of lots and lots of laminates with sound chambers in. Interested to hear how they sound, too. Cheers ped

Parker bass

I have played the guitar version, superbly made, wafer thin and flawlessly set up. Never played a bass though, and the upper horn does stick into yer' chest a bit... Cheers ped
10. I like your description/listing Rich! Good stuff. ped
11. I just picked up an 800w stereo 1u digital power amp for £90 which I will use with my Vbass as the pre - cheap and easy! The BK electronics one looks superb too and they are great people over at BK. They will be coming to BC soon with some special offers, so watch this space... Cheers ped
12. Cheers mate, will have to see when the shirts are ready, I will be very happy to send batches to various bashes happening at the time, cheers. ped
13. Cool stuff, just been on the phone to the suppliers and requested XXXL sizes so will be able to grab them soon and get them listed as for sale. I think to help me organise myself, I will list bunches of 10 t shirts for sale at a time (the last lot sold within an evening) and stick the next 10 up when I have the first 10 organised and packed, otherwise with high demand and large numbers I might drown in money and shirts!! Maybe I need to employ someone!! ped
14. Hi mate, Yeah I will make it more official, possibly PM everyone with the pre-order list link when I have time to sort out some more (next week I hope) I might set up a merch area of the forum but need to discuss this with a programmer of some description, again, something I am looking into at the moment. In the meantime though a sticky/mass email will have to do. Cheers for the support ped
15. Might have the SWR, any pics my good man? ped
16. What a beauty. The Series 4 basses are a step in a new direction for Vigier, and were being designed/prototyped for a really long time until the final design was chosen, it is a really well thought out bass which I am sure will feel like 'home' for many years... enjoy it and post some clips if you can. I had a quick bash on this at Bass day and everything about it felt right - couldn't hear it enough to have a meaningful comparison with my own bass but the feel was there in abundance! I MUST go and visit Mark ASAP in his new shop and have a proper play... Cheers and enjoy ped

Stereo amplifier

Just been poking around on eBay and saw these... really cheap and look OK on paper (remember the system needn't be that loud or sound AMAZING because I will be using IEMs too) but wondered if they would be any good with bass.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ACTIVE-PA-DJ-SPEAKER...1QQcmdZViewItem Cheers ped
23. I heard from Mr. Markbass that part of the switching power supply feature set is that it attracts cats which help maintain a constant plate voltage and impedance ratio across the diode triode coil. Or something. ped

Stereo amplifier

Yeah. I was looking at some stereo poweramps on here such as the one from our very own OBBM, so will have a look and see what cabs or active PA speakers I can get locally before going for anything... Cheers ped
