1. I just picked up an 800w stereo 1u digital power amp for £90 which I will use with my Vbass as the pre - cheap and easy! The BK electronics one looks superb too and they are great people over at BK. They will be coming to BC soon with some special offers, so watch this space... Cheers ped
2. Cheers mate, will have to see when the shirts are ready, I will be very happy to send batches to various bashes happening at the time, cheers. ped
3. Cool stuff, just been on the phone to the suppliers and requested XXXL sizes so will be able to grab them soon and get them listed as for sale. I think to help me organise myself, I will list bunches of 10 t shirts for sale at a time (the last lot sold within an evening) and stick the next 10 up when I have the first 10 organised and packed, otherwise with high demand and large numbers I might drown in money and shirts!! Maybe I need to employ someone!! ped
4. Hi mate, Yeah I will make it more official, possibly PM everyone with the pre-order list link when I have time to sort out some more (next week I hope) I might set up a merch area of the forum but need to discuss this with a programmer of some description, again, something I am looking into at the moment. In the meantime though a sticky/mass email will have to do. Cheers for the support ped
5. Jammen hehe
6. Might have the SWR, any pics my good man? ped
7. What a beauty. The Series 4 basses are a step in a new direction for Vigier, and were being designed/prototyped for a really long time until the final design was chosen, it is a really well thought out bass which I am sure will feel like 'home' for many years... enjoy it and post some clips if you can. I had a quick bash on this at Bass day and everything about it felt right - couldn't hear it enough to have a meaningful comparison with my own bass but the feel was there in abundance! I MUST go and visit Mark ASAP in his new shop and have a proper play... Cheers and enjoy ped

Stereo amplifier

Just been poking around on eBay and saw these... really cheap and look OK on paper (remember the system needn't be that loud or sound AMAZING because I will be using IEMs too) but wondered if they would be any good with bass.... 14. I heard from Mr. Markbass that part of the switching power supply feature set is that it attracts cats which help maintain a constant plate voltage and impedance ratio across the diode triode coil. Or something. ped

Stereo amplifier

Yeah. I was looking at some stereo poweramps on here such as the one from our very own OBBM, so will have a look and see what cabs or active PA speakers I can get locally before going for anything... Cheers ped
16. TBH though, what would be different about his 'signature' model? I don't really get why fender make them unless they are different in ways other than the colour or a mark here and there... ped
17. OK I moved some recent FX sale threads to the new forum to get the ball rolling. Give it a couple of weeks and things should settle down in the amps/cabs forum. If you have a thread in there you want to be moved, drop one of us a line :0) ped
18. I just moved some recent FX threads there so I am afraid you missed the opportunity... Can't say I wasn't tempted too, though!!
19. Hi guys, Due to recent feedback I have created a separate forum for selling effects, instead of lumping them in with amps/cabs. Current effects listings in the amps section are fine but post in the new one from now on if you please! Cheers ped
20. Yep the effects forum is now ready to use.
21. Hehe, I did say 'kind of'
22. Ditto! Never heard of the fella!
23. Aye, just a gate. On the other hand, setting a high threshold adds some great feel to synths and the like. I would advise against using one on your clean sound though, you need to tap that noise at source really. So which pedal is it? ped
24. http://www.shukerguitars.co.uk/jjburnel.htm Hasn't he kind of already got one? Never heard him to be honest, who does he play for? ped
25. BTW Ben, you might know this, but noise suppressors work by 'closing the door' so no signal (or hiss) can pass through unless a threshold is passed at which the door opens a bit, depending on the sensitivity. Thus depending on the level of hiss you can balance it just right to close just after the sound becomes lost to hiss without cutting off any sustain, but it depends on how loud the hiss is. Chances are if it is noticeable enough to annoy you at the moment then a noise gate might not work. On extremely low level hiss I don't like gates because I notice it far more than without.... Cheers ped
