1. WELL! What a superb evening. Christophe was an absolute gent - very funny and really down to earth. Shattering guitar playing but really tasteful too. A master of any style! Pleased to have met a couple of Basschatters there, too. Cheers ped
2. Crikey, the battlestar looks great!
3. I love that #213 mate... it is 1986 though I think. Show us some more pics!! You are right Kev, that is in amazing condition for its age! Mine looks like it has been dragged through a hedge backwards - and so does #213 above! Gotta love 'em though!

RIP Leftysteve

Best wishes to the family for your loss. RIP mate. ped
5. Just realised you are quite close to me! *waves*
6. Oooh OK... you should probably watch that one with caution, then! I think the only film I have watched after reading the book was 'free Willy' (Read in at Center Parcs) and was pretty disappointed
7. Oh son. Really.
8. More info here: http://www.vigierguitars.com/news-55-0.php...s=121#anchor121 I think it kicks off at about 6.30 and I thought I would pop along as I live quite close now. Anyone else going? Cheers ped
9. Hehe nope. I had no idea what it was until I put it on. Good stuff if you ask me, though I can imagine the book is even better as the film had a lot of scope. Who is your avatar then? ped
10. I LOVED V for Vendetta
11. Well I don't love my windows as much as my bass but I clean those too... I just like the gloss black shine Nick seems to achieve on his fretboards. Don't you?! l8z ped
12. I don't know how you get the neck so shiny Nick - I tried the WD40 and window cleaner trik on mine but it never stays clean for long!! Perhaps I will book my bass in for your valet service? Cheers ped
13. Hehehe OK!
14. Are they notoriously difficult to find, then?
15. I have moved and live in Headington, Oxford now! doh! The serial makes it 20/11/1989, a full year younger than mine (15/10/88) bless its socks.
16. Pretty cool. I played on Trev's (G-77 is his username!)one of these at the last SE bash and I remember really enjoying it. Some great sounds!
17. Lovely looking bass. I had planned on comparing this to mine at some point as they are similar (apart from the electronics) Have fun with it ped P.s what is the serial #?
18.
and another. Best wishes from all of us here at BC
And another. Sad news indeed. I hope I am able to come and join in at the bash. All the best ped

Stereo rig

These look pretty good: http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/yamaha...gepas-300/67630 (or the 500w version) http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/72146 Anyone tried these? ped

Stereo rig

I like the sound of two Roland 210 combos but I don't think my damaged back will - the solution needs to be REASONABLY light, but needn't be featherweight!

Stereo rig

Yeah I should have explained that one - my pre is a Roland vbass and pretty much all the synths are stereo and I like to pan the strings on the fretless sim etc etc. Also the drums will be stereo. You are right though, the clean bas and the other bass models are mono but they also have a touch of reverb that sounds nicer in stereo... ped )( dep (stereo ped)

Stereo rig

Hi folks, I am loking at a stereo setup for my bass and possibly also for my brothers Vdrums. I was thinking about a couple of reasonably powered combos (the rig will be used for gigging too but with IEM support so needn't be that powerful - I was thinking possibly even two combos) However I don't really need a pre-amp or any tone shaping as we can do that on our units before the amplifier so my bro mentioned some good powered monitors were the thing for his Vdrums. I know several people here have used a single powered speaker as part of a rig, but is there anything in particular I should avoid or look out for? The advantage of sharing this purchase with my brother is we can probably buy one each and end up with a stereo pair coming from the mixer we currently use with headphones. I guess a budget of £300-£400 per speaker is about right. OR should I be looking at a pair of cabs and a stereo power amp? Cheers ped

Show us your rig!

No no I meant I will give him a thick ear!! ;0) I am looking into getting some powered speaker stereo setup at the moment... The BBQ idea went out of the window after I made the rack unit (the pod) redundant after a weekend of playing around. Now I ONLY use the vbass so there is no need for a case containing the Vbass and other gubbins. I probably should get a pedalboard type case for it at some point though. Eazy now ped
25. Probably some kind of software now?
