  1. It took me years untilI realised that sticky backed plastic meant sellotape

    NBD 70s P

I’ve been told to spend less on bass gear in 2022 so I’m buying a 70s P bass in parts! I was thinking about putting this in a stand as a shelf object in the man cave but for now I’ve hung it on the wall. Pretty cool I think! The tuners are original but the s/n has worn off so I don’t know anything more about it. I might have bought this whilst pissed over Xmas. ped
  4. I always play in drop D and use 40-100 strings. No problem, I like the feel and tension.
  5. These little bits are just the icing on the cake - I’m just so pleased that the thing sounds so good. Oh actually I also noticed that if I choose standby to be sound as suing rather than motion sensing (on the transmitter) it always ends up being motion mode. Maybe firmware updates will help.
  6. Yes I barely use the app now that I have my clean patches sorted. I’d prefer the side buttons to be assignable like on the VB99 that would be super cool
  7. Has anyone figured out the live set thing? I’ve got six slots (almost one for each bass) currently, all ‘clean’ and pretty flat. If I press the up/down channel buttons it might switch to a different one and it can be hard to tell and get back to the right one. What I’d like to have is six patches per instrument so each bass has a clean then five ‘effected’ patches. Easy to get back to clean if I switch by accident and if I switch basses I can use the app to open a new ‘set’ In my head that’s how it should work but the app is a bit weird layout wise so I’m not sure how to achieve it!!
  8. Does anyone know if they will be a drop in replacement for these (hipshot HB1 I think?) They look the same but they don’t provide any dimensions and on the guitar section there’s some guff about matching mounting plates https://graphtech.com/collections/ratio-machine-heads-bass/products/bass-ratio-4-in-line-classic-clover-leaf-button-chrome
  9. I’m going for a Waza
  10. You can’t thru-charge. I have found my cans last longer than 5 hours I guess that’s the average.
  11. I like the original white. Sets the blue off nicely. Looks more chilled

How did Geddy record Moving Pictures without this pedal? 😄
  13. I predict an Xmas of having to constantly remove your headphones and say ‘what?’
  14. Still my fave. Pale flat green ones. Doesn’t have the massive sweep of the later ones and sounds more even.
  15. Yeah right here on BC I might get a phase 90 to compare it to at some point because I had one so long ago I’ve forgotten why I sold it
  16. I did like the Grape Phaser but like quite a few pedals it didn’t like the super hot output of my G&L. I have an MXR 100 now which I really like, but will have to try ‘live’ to see how it sounds properly. First impressions are very good - it has two really great sounds that I like so far. And it’s huge and orange.
  17. How are you getting on with it?
  18. Bassballs with the distortion on and sensitivity down
  19. Agree that the MXR is a great place to start - good value and a really sweet sound. I had the Digitech years ago, I don’t remember the envelope filter very well but remember it being a fantastic octaver !
  20. Pedal arrived in perfect condition, thanks very much
  21. Alright, I don’t want electro about it
  22. You’ve jumped the Shark
  23. Come on guys, have some Empathy edit - damn beaten to it!
  24. I don’t think I’d call it underrated though
