Hopefully the people who make the software will listen and improve this in the next update

ped's post in Bass for sale thread was marked as the answer
I just checked your account- it seems you paid the £7 but haven't yet used your token, so you haven't listed the item basically.
Maybe you started listing it then paid for the token afterwards, but as it shows in the text above the price box, you need to have an active sub or a paid token before you can submit the post.
So - in short, go and list it now! You've paid already so you'll see above the 'price' box on the form it'll say 'Sales Remaining = 1'
Any problems let me know!
Cheers

Just checked, you were following the forum. Now unfollowed.

ped's post in Ads appearing in posts was marked as the answer
My fault - we had to do some configuring of Google Adsense yesterday and haven't had a chance to 'optimise' it yet. Google of course give you the full beans as soon as they can until you tell them otherwise so we'll fix it later today.

We had to get rid of some stuff in the server that meant the backups (which happen at about 6am) could hang.

Yes I see these now and again. I’m checking now. Normally they are server updates but we should be old about those ahead of time.

ped's post in Poll issue for the Photo Comp. was marked as the answer
Ok that might have done the trick... also I’ve set it so you can add a poll to an existing topic, so you can add it when the submissions are in next time (I think, will test tomorrow)

Yes, someone just made a mistake

ped's post in Search specific forum in mobile version was marked as the answer
There is, but the default forum search calls forum areas ‘topics’ instead for some reason. I’ll see if I can change.
In the meantime try the filters as shown.

ped's post in Following threads/posts was marked as the answer
Hi there. Yes indeed; just click the 'blob' rather than the thread title. If you hover over it says 'go to first unread post'
Hope that helps

ped's post in Disappearing posts was marked as the answer
Hm very strange, yes perhaps try posting one again and see if that works. Maybe they were posted whilst the site was being updated or something. Give it a go. DO you have a £20 sub? if not PM me and I'll sort you out.

ped's post in Firefox tells me that Basschat is slowing down my browser was marked as the answer
If you've enabled desktop notifications (for example if someone replies to thread you have open but you're in anther tab) that may have an impact on your browser, so maybe try turning those off.

ped's post in How do I edit my asking price...? was marked as the answer
The main price field cannot be changed once posted. This is to avoid people listing things for free then adding the price, or adding extra items to an existing advert.
However, to reduce the price of a listed item, simply edit your first post and add some text to say the item is reduced. This can be at the top of the post for maximum visibility. You can also add it to the title of the thread.
This way, users will see the original price but then also a reduced price in the post and/or thread title.
The alternative, if you have a yearly subscription, is to post the ad again and tell us to delete the old one.
In the future we may allow editing if the main price field but we can only do that once we modify the way free listings appear to stop the scammers.
Hope that helps
