  1. Thanks for that, yes I did wonder.
  2. Anyone able to do this and get the correct finish.... just a thought?
  3. I think ivory fret markers would have been better with the darker roasted maple boards.
  4. I currently use the genzbenz NX2 212 cab and like it very much....doesn't do the sub bass thing but i was never keen on that, i much prefer a balanced tone which this does really well.....I must say, I like the angled baffle idea!
  5. Neck one or three piece, flat sawn , quarter sawn etc
  6. Lovely!... what spec is the neck?
  7. I too lusted after one of these.....only 100 watts but got the job done and, at a good volume if memory serves.
  8. Lovely, with it being natural, they have to use nice pieces of wood!....there are more snazzy finishes but you have to wonder what is under the paint.
  9. Lovely bass, can I ask the weight please?
  10. Bought a Ray back in 79 and had it ever since... absolutely love the bass....neck profile is lovely as ped mentioned....I will say though, full bass and treble is a no go!!.....I back the bass off to 7ish and treble to around 5.....works for me.
  11. I regret selling my Wal 5 string mark 2.....not because i liked it that much, mainly for the price they fetch now.....When i bought the bass, i payed £1400 new and later sold it for £800 .
  12. Just for info my sadowsky mv5 metroline had the same issue to a small degree ....(A) string off to the right side of the dots....neck joint was tight as a drum so I just lived with it.
  13. You could possibly take the neck off, but it depends on how much wiggle room there is in the neck pocket to re-align the neck......i have to say, i have seen this problem a few times, also on the usa ones...Also seems the basses are very heavy of late!!.......I think Lakland and Cort should pull their socks up.
  14. Well, Dave did used to work for Overwater Basses....nuff said... beautiful job btw.
  15. Chay bought my Elwood 5a bass....super quick no hassle payment and a pleasure to deal.....top basschatter

  22. Met up with Norm to do a Musicman trade, my lovely Stingray classic for his equally lovely Stingray special.....Had a bit of a chin wag about basses ( is there any other subject ! ) and have to say he is a thoroughly nice guy and a credit to Basschat. Thanks again Norm
