1. My band is not a covers band, it is a band which creatively reinterprets a variety of well-known songs
2. I hate to jump on a rolling bandwagon, but OBBM work for me too.
3. Had a great Wirebirds & Jenny Haan gig last night but now gone three AM and still not recovered!
4. Just popped downstairs and the measurements seem about right, I'll have it. PM on its way.
5. Which head is this for? If its an ABM 500 I'm interested.
6.
Why not pop over and check out the origonolity! Can't imagine it selling at that start price - but you never know!
Too risky, I might end up doing something I regret
7. I really wish I hadn't looked at this, it's only about 5 miles away!
8.
Not sure if you're being sarcastic?
It was my longer conclusion to the statement I quoted but does look a bit odd without that to refer to.
9.
Yes. Why isn't it important to them? As outlined in most of the posts it's fairly important to the audience.
Then the conclusion must be that they don't care about their audience.
10.
I do have one in the kitchen, but my cat announced that he struggled with the high notes on AC/DC songs, and he preferred catching rats on a Saturday night rather than being covered in beer at the Dog and Duck. Too posh to mosh I guess is the term.
11. Doesn't everyone just find a world class singer in their kitchen, llke I did?
12.
PS: Is it just me that finds typing on here difficult?????? Keeps missing letters
N rblm hre, nthngn mssn t ll
13. We used to have a rhythm/slide guitarist who was like that, basically he was a poor payer and tried to hide behind the rest of us. Eventually asked him to leave as he was taking up stage room and a share of the takings to which he was not really entitled.
14. Which song was it? I was asleep by then last night! Jenny will be pleased to know they were on but will want more details from me. She is always delighted to meet Babe Ruth fans and frequently signs copies of the albums at our gigs.
15. I'm not exactly a fan of TV, but my wife tells me this will be recorded for me.
16. One of each, the only answer really.
17. Happened to us this year, sent the landlord an email with a gig poster attached and he replied we weren't booked there that night, even though all the details were in the email I was replying to!
18. Seven quid to advertise a 250 quid bass isn't bad considering that you have a very good chance of selling here. I offloaded a couple of basses and a speaker cab here last year and consider the £20 I paid to do so a real bargain.
19. Just stumbled onto this resurrected thread. I was a total Gong head from the age of about 15 onwards, saw them many times, saw Hillage band many times, Here & Now used to stay with us in Leeds, was in the audience when they recorded their live material at Stonehenge late 70s....happy daze indeed. Somewhere I still have a telegram from Steve H. asking me to play bass for him when he left Gong. For some reason, I didn't do it.
20. Tempted, but it is a fair old hike. Still, I don't suppose a long haired, bearded biker would fit in with your clean cut image
21. A well-known replacement bass guitar bridge was named after its inventor's unfortunate condition brought on by sitting on damp grass as a youngster.
22. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith has never forgiven his brother for going on a summer holiday without him.
23. In a misguided attempt to appeal to the European market, The Yardbirds were originally known as as the .914 Metrebirds.
