  1. Bugger! Hoist by my own leopard, or whatever the saying is!
  2. I don't remember signing up for that!
  3. I still haven't got mine, but the people at Kenny's have been doing a great job of trying to track it down for me, and and even better job of keeping me informed about their progress. All this for a ten quid sale - they've certainly impressed me, very good people there.
  4. Ah well, think of the temptation I'm avoiding!
  5. Bugger! That means if FedEx have lost mine I can't get it replaced.
  6. I'd rather have the Session Cake than a refund - I did actually want it! Refund if all else fails, but I won't be happy.
  7. First time it's happened to me. No reply from the shop as yet.
  8. Mine has been delivered, according to FedEx, but not to my house, as I was in all day and was sitting by the window near the front door when the email popped in to say it had just been delivered - we live at the closed end of a cul-de-sac, I almost always see people coming here before they reach the door. I've emailed Kenny's music as I spent half an hour on line and on the phone but couldn't reach anyone at FedEx.
  9. If you see something you fancy and the price seems too high, just make the seller an offer, most sellers will meet you around half way. If you aren't interested in the item for sale, then keep your thoughts to yourself.
  10. So my advert for used plectrums at a tenner each is still OK?
  11. Too kind my friend, too kind. But I won't argue!
  12. OK, I if I find one, you'll have first shout on it at £25 12s 6d
  13. If someone's trying to sell something for more than it's worth, then in my opinion it's the buyer's look out. Anyone who buys without making simple checks on line is not doing their homework. Plenty of people put things up for sale at up to 50% more than they realistically expect to get simply to allow the buyer some bargaining wriggle room.
  14. So if I had a genuine '62 Precision, should I expect to be called out on selling for more than it cost in 1962?
  15. I can't see anything about these amps on their website or facebook page, is there some secret site that I don't know anything about? I've only been using Ashdown for the last 12 years or so, so perhaps I'm still too new for these!
  16. My old Vox headphone amp broke a couple of years ago, so just ordered one of these as a replacement. Well spotted!!
  17. My eldest daughter is a Suzie, I usually spell it without the E
  18. I can't find the image, but there was a picture in NME or MM of Soft Machine's bassist's (Hugh Hopper?) bass leaning against an amp. It was in the first half of the 70s, but I can still see it, a white Fender bass from the back. I think that started a life long obsession with Fender basses!
  19. Never had any string damage caused by a pick and I use 3mm ones, no lightweight rubbish here! In fact, the only string damage I can recall in all my years of pretending I can play bass was caused by a drum kit when my bass fell through it during a set break.
  20. I've had a drink with Ray Jackson (he lives about 6 miles away and we have mutual friends) and he still maintains his position re Maggie May. I think he said the fee was £25.00 but the cheque bounced!
