1. From a personal point of view, I much preferred the music in the advert
2. Can I be in The Funk Brothers?
3. The Grammy's must be heading towards a massive problem. The last few years are about how black artists are not getting the recognition they deserve. The problem being, is if a black artist wins next year, will it be for the right reasons? On another note, I don't mind Adele.
4. She always looks very awkward when she is playing bass. Efficient and a decent player, but she doesn't look comfortable to me
5. I like comfort strapps. I bought them for all my basses. I will admit to only using these and those really cheap ones that bite into your neck, so my experience is limited.
6. The headstock looks like they ran out of wood
7.
IMHO the OP would go through a useful learning exercise if he creates his own sheet because finding all these symbols and writing down the meanings would be productive revision.
I also agree that doing a sheet yourself is better. I bought a flip chart board with paper. and I can see patterns or which major or minor intervals you are playing differently in scales etc, when it is written down.I would wholly recommend writing it yourself than getting a ready made chart.
8. If it is for learning, wouldn`t you be learning all the symbols and explanations as you progress?
9. I would say that if cool was just the image, then I would have to go with Paul Simonon.
10. Too many to choose from.
11. A link for you Blue. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/other/skegness-named-alongside-syria-and-north-korea-as-one-of-worlds-worst-holiday-spots/ar-AAmam81?ocid=spartanntp
12.
Plua a killer bassplayer in Ethan Farmer.
Yes, he was on fire. He is a lesson on how to play fills that should really be too much, but fits perfectly.
13.
. I draw the line at Westlife and Hard House though.
My wife wanted to go to a Westlife gig at the NEC. I bought 2 tickets and told her too take her mate. There was no chance I would go to that. I went to Lionel Richie though. I didn`t think I would enjoy it, but he was immense. Great bit of banter, and you could tell he is a seasoned professional
14. Richard Coles from the Communards turned Vicar
15. I still can't understand how Wham ever became so popular. Any of their songs would be able to comfortably sit alongside Star Trekkin in athe novelty section
16. When I first heard Star Trekkin by the Firm, I was thinking Paul Rogers and Jimmy Page had totally lost the plot
17. I will go for You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon. I know there are some really awful music out there, but this is from a serious musician. He has done some good stuff, but this song really grates on me. The radio goes straight off when this is on.
18. Very nice. You just can't beat a shed. I would be lost without mine
19. Graceland by Paul Simon. Got to be one of the worst albums by a serious artist. I still switch the radio off if You Can Call Me Al comes on
20. Aww, I bought mine the other day
21. Livin` La Vida Loca - Ricky Martin
22. I really like Mistreated. Especially the live version in some place in USA in 1974. Perfect Strangers if it was just studio versions
23. At least no pets have played it. Has anyone been put of buying a bass because they own a cat ?
24. Its a bit like people moving to a rural area and complain the church bells and cockerals are waking them up
