The only reason I knew who they were is because Danny Bose, who is the vocalist, does a slot on Planet Rock. I did buy the greatest hits on the strength of that, and they are actually very good in my opinion.
-
I am sure he will be very good. I haven`t seen a bad performer on there yet. I did notice he had a music stand on the clip though :p. I have just bought my ticket, so will find out more about him if he is there on Saturday
-
I see they have got Snow Owl signed up to come. I have no idea who he is
-
Too much brass section for my liking. I guess overblown for my tastes.
-
Thanks Ped. It will be a tidy little discount if it works together
-
Do you think we will get the discount before the early bird tickets 16th of December?
-
I am surprised you are doing it after the last time you sent emails

I have gone to auction houses and sold stuff on for a profit. Doesn't seem as he has done anything wrong to me. We are all guilty of being capitalists

Sad news . Legend
You bet, Rik! My 2018 looks like it's going to be the year of music shows - NAMM in January, LBGS in March. Bring it on!
What an awful life you have I am off work, so I will be there on the 3rd. There is no mention of it on their site as yet.

Is it too late for me to learn to read sheet music?
timmo replied to Rocker's topic in Theory and Technique
It would be a great idea. I read about getting older our brain starts to slow down, so it is going to be similar to that brain training we are told is good for us. If for no other reason, it has got to be beneficial -
The PJB Bighead is good. The drawback is the £200. It is far better, but not sure it is 5x the price of the Vox.
-
I found the amplug good, but they can be fragile. I broke the jack when I got it caught in clothing. The PJB Bighead is a lot better. I paid £150 new 18 months ago. They seem to have increased a lot in that time.

Obviously he gets recognition, but how Lindsay Buckingham only made number 100 in the 100 best guitarists in Rolling Stone magazine 2 years ago is beyond me

SE Bass Bash 2017 - with Steve Lawson and Davey Rimmer
And I completely failed to try your Shukers. Again. 😶
I had an interesting chat about those. Had a couple of features I had never heard of. Very nice basses. I still don't think I am a headless bass person. I would like to try one, but the usual left handed problem . -
So I gave a band member both barrels..............
Tbh I think I'm with the drummer, "you mentioned" the gig in April, nothing else since and it's not on the band's website.
I would have had sympathy with the drummer, but the rest of the band seem happy, so there seems to be other reasons to me. -

That is all that counts really. If they are happy to accept the resignation, it seems you made the right decision. As mentioned earlier, if someone can't take the odd F you, it looked like your band was ready for the change. -

More importantly than our opinion, what does the other band members think about the situation. -
SE Bass Bash 2017 - with Steve Lawson and Davey Rimmer
timmo replied to Silvia Bluejay's topic in Events
Just got home. Thanks too the organisers for putting this together again. Davey Rimmer was amazing. I knew easy Living, but was unaware of the rest of the catalogue. I will be looking for their CD's now. Steve Lawson put on a good show. How anyone can ramble so much and be highly entertaining is beyond me. Already looking forward to next year. -

Leaving now. Looking forward to it. -
Bit late now - see above. Watched a demo anyway and I love the tone. However it seems a bit pointless if they're making a point of it's size and then demo it through a 4x10! Their own little cab is tiny, I'd love to see a demo of that. The prices look bloody good as well. Anyone here tried one out?
Yes. I never gave that much thought. There doesn't appear to be much on the way of demo's with the small cab. A bit strange really.
A generational thing. I get how young players might not get his once in a lifetime style and approach to the electric bass. However, I will never get or understand how some younger players don't understand his inpact or overall contribution and inspration to thousands of musicians. BTW I'm not a huge Jaco fan. Blue
Probably because he is hard to listen to. I think most people will acknowledge his legacy and his playing, but it is very hard going. I listen to him sometimes because I appreciate how good he was, but not for long.
Roland Rat, Rat Rapping. TUNE!!!!
love me Tender was number 32.

How about a hotone thunder bass amp. It isnt a combo, but they are tiny and get decent reviews. Never used one myself, but always tempted. The cab is small too.
