1.
All the ads on that site have the same formula; they apparently don't allow plain direct links. It's simple enough to get around, however, so shouldn't be too much to the detriment to the posters, as long as the readers are aware of how to see further. Good old Google, eh..?
Something helpful to come out of this topic. Good to know that links may not work
2.
Wow, you mean this isnt the first of this type of thread? What a pathetic thing to do. It used to be a friendly, helpful place here until a few years ago, and now we have threads like this where everyone wants to bitch and slag other people for no reason other than sport., Its pretty obvious Americans think and talk in a different way to those in the UK (otherwise we would nt have this thread ;-) and picking out every other word and analysing it gets us where? No wonder the old crew dont post on here anymore.
This post could be the reason the old crew, whoever they are, don`t post anymore. I am finding it interesting to see how people interpret the advert. Could be useful for people who want to post an advert in the future. I guess that is why I keep coming back, as there is always something that keeps me interested. I second Aphook that you could just use the same topic for future adverts instead of a series of new topics
3. I got my shift off, so I will be there.
4. Damn. I look forward to this, but it is my only weekend In September that I have to work
5.
Surrey's quite far for those of us coming from the south coast
It is worth the trip if you can make it.
6. I like the thought of owning something like this. It would be like going to the Colloseum. When I walked to.it, it was just a building When i found out some of the path was original , I liked the fact that I was making the same journey , walking on the same stone as the romans were thousands of years ago.
7. The console sold for $1.8 million. I was expecting a lot, but not that much.
8. The music matched most pop acts of the 80's. I hated the fashion and the music
9. Hopefully you can prove they are yours other than just by an unusual roqsolid cover. My stepson had a load of fishing gear nicked. He found some in CC. The police found out who sold it fton CCTV. They were familiar with him. My stepson was asked if he could prove they were his. He said he could get the shop to vouch for the stuff he bought from him. That wasn't enough. The shop kept the gear and the thief got away with it. They are legalised fences
10. I am not a fan of Prince's music, but I would imagine he would be in anyone top 10 gifted multi insrutumentalists. If anyone fits the bill, he is a definate.
11. I guess that is the problem with humour. There is always someone going to be offended at a joke. Whick jokes are you laughing at which others find offensive. I am reminded of the women who took her disabled son to watch Frankie Boyle. He obviously ripped into her son, and quite rightly, she was offended. We all know Boyle is near the knuckle, so what made her go, and what jokes was she laughing at that was bound to be offensive to others?
12.
He might be able to play 12 instruments, but what instruments and at what level. Blue
A good enough level to get awarded grammys. I know bass is one of the instruments , plus guitar, and about 10 others
13. Does Beck count? He started as a guitarist. I would imagine he understands how to play if it is true that he can play 12 instruments.
14. It doesn't particularly bother me. I have seen the Glenn Fricker videos on bass players.. it just seems a bit of a laugh to me.
15.
Sorry about the late reply, been away for a few days. This is really helpful! I think it is quite clear what happened to mine after seeing those photos. Is there any chance you can email me these photos, please? Update: - Courier company is ignoring many of my emails and fail to provide advice or clear instructions on what to do next to dispute the claim resolution. - UPS won't deal with me directly as the shipper is ParcelHero but they were quick to contact me when I posted on their Facebook page. On the other hand ParcelHero accept no visitors posts on their Facebook but I did post a comment on one of their posts and they haven even bother deleting it or acknowledging. - The cab maker has not replied to my email with advice on force needed or a few other questions. - Visit to Citizens Advice Bureau was useless as I got seen by an old lady that did not have much idea and failed to give any advice, other that ask me to look at their website. I'm going back tomorrow, to a different town, with the hope to find someone a bit more helpful. This is it for now....Thanks everyone for your help!
Sorry Paulbass, I haven`t got the photos anymore. Can you just copy the photos from the thread? I may still be able to get more photos as I am at work tonight , and that box hasn`t moved since I took the photo
16.
What was the reason for us not mentioning this master craftsman? One day, we were ticking along nicely, reviewing his 'elegant work', then suddenly he was off limits
It went way over the top. I like a good laugh, but when someone said he looked like a Paedophile, it went, way past a joke
17.
If it said Limelight or Nash on the headstock people would be creaming their pants over it.
Surely if it was a Limelight or Nash, it would look a lot better than that?
18. I found a box to put the fork into. Obviously I can`t recreate it properly, as the box is just rolls of shrinkwrap with nothing in the corner. It wasn`t heavy either, so not lot of resistance that the speaker would have had. I think the damage looks similar
19. In my experience of forklift driving, and showing the photo to work mates, we are 100% convinced it has been caught by a fork on the forklift. It is the type of damage we see. A fork doesnT always go through packaging if there is resistence inside. The tips of the forks are slightly narrower at the tip, and looks exactly tje right size.
20. Was the packaging damaged on arrival.? It looks to be the sort of damage you could get from a fork lift truck.
21. Whenever I get some money saved, something happens. Last month hI had a decent wad saved. I changed energy suppliers, then I found out I was £320 in arrears. Then the car need £300 spent on it, then remembered the water rates were due. Something always seems to happen when I have a bit of cash saved. I really want a D`Angelico EX bass, but it is always out of reach
22. In defence of TimR, not that he needs my help, I am sure he does not condone the bullying method, but it is unfortunately one method
23. That is why we called him Bert Weedon as he was so bad.
24. My neighbour tried to learn the guitar a few years ago. I assume he was learning as he was awful. He used to open his window at while he played. We used to laugh and say Bert Weedon is a it again.I always try to keep as I don`t want anyone to hear while I am learning something
25. Is that the book where you can subscribe to video lessons which are supposed to run alongside the book?
