1.
I haven't received a confirmation email yet. So, good luck to, erm, us still waiting on the email.
I'm further down the list than you I don't mind too much to be honest, I've ordered it to give to a friend of Mrs C's who's bass has died... As my last deco had absolutely nothing wrong with it I'm hoping this will be a similar deal
2. I may have also accidentally ordered the four string...
3. Get a TU-3, I think I saw one for sale in the marketplace, it looks like excellent value...
4. Sold a pedal to Tim, no problems whatsoever, Instant payment and great comms. Deal with confidence
5. brilliant... I like Sandbergs... they are like the european fender, solid, reliable, available in a multitude of colours and finishes and would last you a lifetime of bass work.
6. Mine have been consigned to the bin and replaced with my usual elixirs... I had a set of red ones on bass before and they were fine, actually sounded quite bright and lasted a fair while and to be honest, I could have lived with the E-E on the yellow guitar set but the Low B was horrendous... I should have made a video of it just to demonstrate how bad it actually was.
7. alright thanks guys... I like that sunburst guitar... but it's still £50 so I'd have to really like it
8.
All the new additions are "on request" too...
What does the on request bit mean?
9.
I don't think I'd better play......
Yes perhaps that's best...
10. Bump and a photo showing condition. Small scratch on top left corner.
11. I don't really understand how the algorithm for google images works... It often turns up interesting results. For example if I google my BC username name I get this as the first page of results. Amongst images of stuff I've posted on basschat there is also; Five pictures of a random trendy man walking down the street, A man looking like he's eaten an entire bag of magic mushrooms, Some sort of skeleton convention, A guy eating in a place called Fatburger, Unidentified man with trumpet, A man in a cape blowing giant bubbles in the street and a man aggressively flexing on a stage...
12. That looks lovely... everything is in ballance aesthetically, kinda sandberg esq. it looks very inviting!
13.
I've got a couple of Fusion F1 bags and they are lovely! They make a newer version now which comes in a 2 bass flavour >> http://www.fusion-ba...-guitar-gig-bag 2 bass of 11 lbs each is going to be quite a test, but if you make sure and set all the straps, lumbar etc correctly, I'm sure you'll be fine, if a little less popular on public transport Eude
Yeah I saw those Fusion ones, that's what prompted this thread, they look enormous! They also look a bit high, I'm 6'1 and I'd be hitting bus shelters etc. ..maybe it's easier to just buy a car and be done with it.
14.
A guitarist I played with tried an orange set and came to the same conclusion. They sounded like old, dead strings right out of the packet.
Yeah they are truly awful, the b string sounds like a rubber band.
15.
If you`re a covers band and want work you need to play what the audiences want.
That's about the gist of it... If you're getting paid to play stuff people like, you won't be very popular with landlords if you play a load of obscure stuff no-one has heard of...
16. Anyone else tried these? I bought a set of yellow ones for my Schecter C7. They look great but sound absolutely crap, dead and muffled from the off.. Are they all like this or did I just get a duff set? They are comming off tonight, I can't possibly use them in public they sound terrible.
17.
Are other bassists using your amp gear then? If this is the case, they may not be looking after it as well as you do, and even over-driving it.....
Could be something in this... Some of the settings I've seen from the previous band on amps at rehearsal studios defy belief
18.
But there's already a slot on the front of your computer to do that. I find I have to poke it in with a paperclip or something - I guess the automatic feeder on mine isn't working properly.
How long have you been poking £20 notes into your computer? Do you know what your IT technician looks like? Where is your office? ...
19. as above... that is quite something...
20. Wow look at that It looks fantastic.... glad you're pleased with it after all that waiting
21. Band logo's are a bit of a thing of the past arent they? it's a long time since I was scrawling Emperor and Mayhem onto my school text books...
22. Phwoor excellent example of a quality garden table there, it's even got a spiny bit in the middle, bet that's great for BBQs... what was the build time on that? Oh and the bass looks pretty good as well Does it have a smaller body to compensate for the much shorter neck? Short scale basses can sometimes look a little unbalanced but that looks like it has everything in perfect proportion. I'm a great admirer of Alan's work at ACG. It is very impressive how he has built a portfolio of original shapes that are starting to make the brand recognisable on stages around the country. That along with pushing the envelope beyond the traditional with his multicoil pickups, art tops and filter based preamps ensures a bright future for ACG. I follow the build thread here on BC with interest, it's full of exciting designs and new ideas. This coupled with meeting build times (a rare occurrence in the bass building world) will ensure he is never short of orders. Enjoy the new bass, I sense it won't be your last ACG
23. Another lazy one with no pics... Boss TU-3 - Bit scruffy but nothing major, no mains adapter but I do have the box. These are almost compulsory bass kit, but in my never ending quest to carry less stuff I've gone to a clip on tuner instead. £35 posted but I can't get to the post office until Saturday to ship it out. Payment by Paypal please. £30 If you want to pick it up one evening from Camden - North London
24. Hi Guys, I've moving on my BDDI... bit of a lazy ad this as I haven't taken any pictures yet but it's this version. Pretty much everyone is aware of these and what they do, it's basically an SVT emulator and has a lovely warm voice... most gigging players seem to have one of these in their Arsenal. A few scratches but nothing major, it's been used and I'm not the original owner. I don't have the mains lead but I think I do have the box somewhere (I'll investigate tonight) £100 posted (payment by paypal please) £95 If you want to pick it up one evening from Camden - North London I can't get to a post office until Saturday though so I can't get it shipped until then.
