That looks really good, nice maple neck.
I really don't see how they can be sold for £56 though...
Not sure how much of their pricing is down to their size... I'm sure this must have been posted before but they are a massive organisation and an extremely efficient operation, most of the stuff comes straight in and leaves without even being unpacked.. *can't seem to imbed this video for some reason...

Well that looks like something a bit special... Forgive the cliché but does it have that classic Warwick growl and zing?
I'm going to be pretty damn busy at work today, and out this evening as well. Please can everyone keep their eyes on the prize^H^H^H^H dekos.
I have the page open in my browser at work but I'm starting to think I may have to ban myself.... I'm terribly impulsive and liable to end up with hundreds of basses and guitars I don't really need or have space for ...especially as I just reviewed some stuff and have a 20euro thomann voucher My clicking finger is poised should they post anything interesting today. -
Surely the answer to WHY is they were £25 and £33
Well yes... You're right of course. But now I've ordered it i'm quiet looking forward to it -

I'm on the lookout for a backup seven string as well... This is my first venture into the murky world of HB dekos. Mrs C wants to use the PJ as an art project so it might turn out being a keeper regardless. -
I got over excited... but apart from that I have no idea. Although I don't currently have a 5 string...
Me too... I am looking forward to it though. I think the main problem is going to be if its actually any good... In which case I'm liable to have this thread permantly open and buying Harley Benton deko basses could become a problem. -
I've just put an order in for a PJ four string, don't even know why I want it but it will become a project. I had some other small stuff in my basket and the PJ made it worth ordering. I'll see if the email comes
I've no idea why I bought mine either... Maybe I'll take it apart and put it back together again to learn something. -

Well I guess we'll see what £25 of brand new bass looks like... I'm quite intregued. The four string was enough for me I wasn't in a flamboyant enough mood for the fiver... I may fill out a few reviews tomorrow in preparation for the next bargain! -

It was £25... Thinking about it, if I'd have bothered to review stuff I've bought previously I probably could have got it for nothing. -
There's 4 and 5 string P/J basses listed just now.
It's your fault I just bought one of those... -

CamdenRob replied to Valhalalf's topic in Build Diaries
I believe Binky Bass has/had a K7 and really rated it for the money. Can't wait to get my hands on mine. Gonna tune B-E-A-D-G-B-E so my 25 years of learing guitar scales/chords (and sweep patterns) etc transfers exactly across.
Yes I've always thought that would be a good tuning for a seven string, although I've spent a lot of time playing chords on a standard tuned six string so i reckon it would throw everything out for me... -

Please tell me if you're interested in decorative brass instruments etc.
That's the ticket... thanks very much. -

I've often thought those looked good, if they've improved the spec then they must now be even better! A couple of the guys here had one from the last batch and seemed very impressed. -

Does anyone have a link that takes you to all the available deko instruments? I keep following links posted on this thread but it's a little difficult to navigate. -
Oh no it doesn't.
hmm... yes I see your problem there.

Probably would have read a bit better without all the swearing... but no doubt an accurate review. i haven't listened to the album obviously but I expect this is a fairly apt description?
its the amp that goes with them the really makes me cringe they called that one the pleasure pump which just makes it sound like some kind adult toy all the same it's an interesting idea if you can get past the name
Yes I saw it featured in BGM recently... I doesn't matter how good it is I'm not walking into a shop and asking to try a pleasure pump...
-
That aside, it's a bit pricey given that the Korg clip on (and the tiny one from Planet Waves) come in at under £15...?
Are they any good though? I have a Fender one and it's rubbish... it doesn't pick up low B and it's interpretation of "in tune" is dubious at best.
The basic idea is that fans of a band will preorder an album/ep to help fund said album/ep with other incentives/items for sale too, such as studio visits or private gigs; www.pledgemusic.com
oh I see... sounds like a good idea. Sadly none of the bands I have been in have ever had any fans, so I don't think it'd work for us.

Just pre-ordered one of these from GAK... No idea when it'll turn up but looking forward to seeing if it actually works.
