I can see that joining this forum was a mistake. I have always suffered from bad gas and you buggers are making it worser. I have recently bought a Sandberg California TM heavy relic and just a few weeks later was overcome with the NEED to buy a Spector Euro 4LX . Trouble is now Im gassing for a GK amp and have always wanted a Spector NS 2 ....Will it ever end?
It won't ever end... in fact it gets worse...
Genz Benz head and bergantino cab
Me too... selling my cabs then getting a pair of berg 112s to go with my Shuttlemax.
Hi - would you definitely not send the one that's left? Bubble wrap and a bin liner would do the job...... I let one of these go recently and they are superb.
They are great cabs, I'm only selling them to change to a 2 x 112 set up. To be honest I'd really rather not ship it... I'd have to insure it and sending something this size would be pretty expensive too. I certainly wouldn't trust it in bubble wrap and a bin liner! UPS managed to smash a bass I was sent in a hardcase a couple of months back... I might if I've no further interest in a pick up, but I'll give it a couple of weeks first.

Bought a Sansamp DI from Malcolm. He shipped it out the same day in a proper package. Received, plugged in and sounding great 24hrs after paying Can't ask for more than that!
Ay, I have one, and I'm super impressed. 1/3 of the price of the Berg CN212...(although I would still like the Berg, the GB is excellent).
I'm going down to a pair of Berg 112s instead of these... although they are more than twice this price each, I need the flexibility.
Would take the other if it wasn't collection only. Hey-ho.
Yeah sorry about that, they are a bit big and I cut up the boxes and used them to ship a bass out a few weeks back....
The speakers alone are probably not far off that much to buy separately! Absolute bargain.
I'm just passing on the saving I got buying them new... They are great cabs (I understand you have one?) but with me needing to get taxis / public transport to gigs, I need to go to a 2x 112 set up really... If I used a van to get to gigs I would be keeping this and blasting everyone with bass everywhere I went.

*Sold* These cabs need little introduction. I picked them up in the recent Genz blowout. I have used them for a couple of rehearsals only and they are mint. I'm looking for £325 each including a fitted rocksolid cover. They sound fantastic and if I was a rock star I would be keeping them, however as a pair they are simply too much for my needs (I'm going down to a 2x 112 set up for more flexibility). 600 Watt @ 4 Ohms 31" x 21 1/4" x 16 1/2" 47 lb They will definitely be pickup only from Camden NW1. You are welcome to come and try them out although only at moderate volume I'm afraid (the neighbours don't appreciate 1200 Watts of bass)

I recently moved on a Warwick Corvette $$ five string as the strings were way to close together for me to play comfortably... Shame really as it was a cracking bass, with a great tone... I just couldn't play the thing Think I measured it at about 15-16mm.

Anyone ever been to Enterprise on Denmark street?... Make sure your tetanus jabs are up to date...

All of the ones I've been to in London are awful filthy places.... But they all have every room full for every hour of the day and we have to book well in advance to secure a slot... so If you were in charge why would you be spending any money, time or effort in upgrading it, when the alternative is leaving it as it is and raking in the cash?
So last night I met with a guitarist/synth player who is starting an electronica band in a similar vein to Modeselekor & Ultraista to see if it was the sort of thing that I ant to do. It is & we got on really well & have a similar view as to what we want to play. So far there is him who plays 8 string guitar through a multitude of fx & triggers his synths (he's got some nice kit too: Access Virus, DSI Tetra, Mininova) & a drummer who plays an electronic kit. They're auditioning a female vocalist next week.
This sounds great fun... Been trying to find somthing along these sorts of lines myself. Nothing has quite worked out so far, the people I've met dong this kind of music seem to be more interested in sounds than notes. When I turn up and ask what key the tunes are in everyone stares blankly at me....
Pickups were eventually delivered. Though I couldn't be arsed with the 7 string fret less in the end considering how long I waited. Now into month 16/17 waiting for my Lettsbass. Very annoyed that many other orders are being put ahead of mine.
I reckon yours is probably still ahead of mine which is currently 26 weeks past the build time on my invoice and consists of an unfinished neck... -

This is a real shame... I've really enjoyed the couple of times I've been to see Kit and I thought she had something unique going on with the band. I guess sometimes you have to be ruthless to get what you want and maybe she felt another direction was likely to attrract more interest, it can't be an easy decision to break off from a bunch of guys you've been playing with for a while. I've not doubt Nige will move on to something equally good, he's a great player with a wonderfully dynamic style... Players who play to serve the song will always be in demand.

In my youth I played mostly slap in metal bands, was kinda the done thing back then. When I used to teach, it was the technique that most beginners wanted to learn first. Guess it would have given them something to show their friends. People who don't know anything about bass love slap. Whenever we have people over they always want to see crazy slap and tapping, but that sort of thing never makes it out of my house these days, more of a party trick, it wouldn't really suit the projects I'm involved with at the moment. In my experience flash slap makes people notice you but good technique and musicality gets you into good bands.
I'm 6'3 so it might have a big difference on me in terms of comfort. I've heard a lot of good things about the Mono. Another recommendation I've had is the Reunion Blues Continental. Any comments on this one from anyone?
I'm 6'2 and don't struggle with the mono at all... I walk the mile or so to rehearsal every week no probs... even in the rain.
I actually had one such offer reported to me where the items offered in exchange for a bass was a list of house contents, including beds, sofa, dining room table, assorted kitchen equipment and a washing machine...
Sounds like a desperate GAS attack by someone looking around their house for stuff to trade... now do I really need that bed....
