He is building me a bass with two P pickups and a DiMarzio Will Power humbucker near the neck.
Nice... What color did you go for?
Really enjoyed this for two reasons its almost like a 70s cop show theme and for some reason like dads entry I enjoyed listen to the string noise, it makes it seem so much more human to me.
Thanks TC Good effort with the comments for everyone too...
Are there any bands playing charity gigs in Milwaukee using relic guitars?
I'm not sure but I do know there aren't any hauling lights and PA to play a four hour bar gig for nothing...
A single crack in the varnish isn't "reliced" as most people understand it. To me, this just seems like shop damage being passed off as reliced.
Yes I must admit this was my initial thought too...
Get a Yammy BB425x - you'll get a new one for your budget and will cover most musical styles.
Do they come in Green?

Get a yellow one...
You learn to recognise the difference between a drummer and someone who owns a drum kit.
... This is true of so many things not just drums.
Music Man Stingray 4HS PDN "Starry Night" with MHS and SLO neck.
Lovely 20 weeks will fly by.
I have just entered The Waiting Room. I'm not sure exactly what the turn around is going to be. It should be around 20 weeks, but it could well be more. In 35+ years of playing, I've not ordered a bass to my specification before.
Welcome... settle down in one of the assortment of battered mismatched chairs... There is a machine over there which dispenses unidentified brown liquid into a tiny plastic cup, if you are interested... What have you ordered?
Ooh that is a thing of real beauty. Got a hankering for a yellow bass. Can you share details please?
Peter is more a compiler of parts than a luthier... Making the classic Fender shapes (and a couple of others) from Allparts bodies and necks, then adding whatever electronics / colors you want. I wanted a Limelight at the time of ordering but they couldn't do an unreliced finish... I went for an opal yellow, stack knob, lined fretless jazz with Dimarzio DP123s and a matching headstock. He's got a great eye for detail and I like the little touches like the matching thumbrest. Mine was around £1300 but after the recent nose dive in the value of the pound I'd expect they are a bit more now...
I ordered a Peterbuilt in April last year, it should be ready in a month or so.
Mine arrived last year... really pleased with it. What did you go for?

Coldplay at Glastonbury zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
CamdenRob replied to thebrig's topic in General Discussion
I think the new project I've been working with does a Coldplay cover... although I'm not sure what it's called and I've never heard the original Verse is Am/G and chorus is C/G/Am/F (suspiciously similar to everything else in the set... ). Sounds quite rocky and lively they way they do it... lots of rise and fall, I quite like it. -
mine
Cor what a beauty...
