I have a Marleaux gig bag which is nice and low, only a couple of inches over my head, but as a result the bottom of it hits the backs of my legs, which as you suggest is very annoying.

I've walked miles around London with my bass in an M80... It's very comfortable to carry and my basses are seriously heavy. Only slight issue is that it sticks up a bit too high and you have to be careful getting on buses etc.

A big pair of over the ear noise canceling ones for when I'm on the bus / tube to block out the public talking about football / x factor / what their mate shazza did in the club last Friday... most of the time I don't even bother having music into them...

I don't think there are any great basses I don't get on with as a design... I've played examples of loads of different types of bass that I didn't like but I think they were just poor instruments rather than a poor design. ...except for Rics obviously but this thread is supposed to be about "great" basses...

I would like to get out there gigging again though, that's the best bit for me . Sadly my current couple of projects seem to be very studio focused.
