1. My reaction would depend on how it happened... If it was an accident, I'd be upset but I'd not make an issue of it, accidents do happen and people often feel bad enough about what they have done to someone else's gear. On the other hand, if he did it on purpose or it happened as a result of him messing about and then he proceeded make a joke out of it, I'd be f**king livid...
 2.
Oh that's good!
Well I was trying to be polite...
 3. As with everything, see if you can get to try one before committing Barefaced cabs are quality kit based on a sound design, but they have a unique tone which may or may not suit you
 4. I do everything I can to avoid dings and dents in my basses... Dents, dings, scratches and fading I think add character to a color finish bass, but they don't really do anything for natural wood basses.
 5.
... No point in cutting off my nose to spite my face etc.
Very wise ...hope it works out
 6. Peter sent me a few more pics last night Shipping tomorrow, so I shall have the usual battle with UPS later on in the week trying to get them to deliver it somewhere near where I live... Anticipating the usual problems, I contacted them in advance and was very helpfully given the option of picking the bass up from Dartford... very useful that considering I live in North London. Anyway...
 7. Definitely the music for me, zero interest in lyrics... I listen to the sound of the singers voice, but couldn't really care less what they are singing about.
 8. No shortage of quality basses available from British builders some great stuff available from Europe too at the moment. Spoilt for choicewe are
 9. You learnt a language from scratch at 36? That's amazing... Welcome to basschat and spending money on gear you don't need
 10.
Could just about afford one if I sold all my other basses... :-S
That's what I did to buy mine
 11.
Go on then...a couple more... January 1985 Brazilian Mahogany Core African Padauk Faces Indian Ebony Fretboard, with Abalone Inlays (Fleur de Lys) 22ct Gold Plating
Stunning... 12.
Yep...
I love the inlays, I've only seen them on one other Wal before and that may have just been a different image of the same bass...
 13. a damn P bass... again... Specifically this one from Moollon.
 14.
...as I'd have all my basses covered. A Jazz, a Ric, a Musicman and a P.
Yep... a bass for any occasion in that lot.
 15.
No ta, I don't like buns so I won't eat one.
What?... you only think you don't like them because you weren't there when buns first hit the scene, you couldn't possibly understand...
 16.
I don't like brussels sprouts.
One of Mrs C's friends is staying with us for a few weeks and it turns out she eats a ludicrous amount of sprouts... a huge pile of them, almost every evening... it's weird...
 17.
Musical blind spots I wish I had
That's a thread in it's own right... My life would have been greatly improved had I never heard a single note of the Gallagher brothers musical output
 18. From a bit of googling it essentially looks like a bunch of tribute bands on tour? Not my bag but can't see the harm
 19.
Recent convert to the Wal club - here's mine:
Is that the recent Gumtree bargain?... That advert had me checking out next day flights to Edinburgh A beauty congratulations.

 21.
flaming torch of acrid sofa grit
I've been looking for a new band name...
 22.
Totally fab cab for the money, handles low B well; exceptionally articulate. Never seen one this cheap... need a lightweight solution... buy this!!
I've been really pleased with it Only moving it on as we're looking to downsize next year and I need to get my gear down to "essentials". I had it paired with a MB200 which I have also recently moved on, sounded great as a mini rig I've priced it competitively as it's collection only and I know that's a hassle... just had too many bad experiences with couriers.
 23. Tony bought my MB200. No hassle,no nonsense, job done
 24. I really like the sound of the 2x10 The issue with buying another one was that it would be too much for me to get around, whereas adding the 112 would be just about doable in a taxi (for the rare occasion I need more volume than the 210 alone) and would also give me the option of just using the 112, for smaller acoustic type gigs. Food for thought though... seems as I suspected, it's not straightforward I haven't made my mind up to go down this road, it's was just an idea, hence the thread
