Peavey Pro-15s! Both horns gone at once.They're less than a year old as well.We've also got a gig on the 23rd,and I'm hoping the replacements will be here tomorrow.

I think I may have discovered a way for dedicated fretless players to play in tune ALL the time.What you do is get some thin wire from your local hardware store and then,using a ruler,mark the positions on the neck where the notes should be.Then,using a hacksaw,cut some fine grooves in the neck from side to side just slightly up from the note position.then using some glue,stick pieces of the wire into these grooves,and cut off the ends,using some scissors.Using your fingers,press down between the fillets of wire,and ,hey presto,you will hear a note that corresponds to the note that you wanted in the first place.Using your eyes,look and make sure that the fillets of wire are straight.This also results in making the leg of the guitar look much more interesting.

My main influence is Paul McCartney,but I have no real desire to use a Hofner Violin bass,or a Rickenbacker for that matter.But I could listen to his work all day long!

I've had 2 of these basses and can only think that the active system has been added at a later date.The first one I had had 2x4-pole J-type pups which were less than useful for a 5-string,as you can imagine.The latest one I have now is far superior in terms of sound,'B' tension and playability.The bass is discontinued now,but I have never seen or heard of one that was 'active' from new.I'm presuming that The Fly didn't buy it new,due to the Logo change,but really,one of the first mods most people do on this bass is to change the pups,as the originals are rubbish.In my case I installed an Artec SE2A pre-amp as well,and it is now my main bass.

Here's mine on the Ultimate GS-100.The only qualm I have with this stand is that it sometimes tends to 'grip' the bass too tightly,resulting in the entire stand tilting forward when removing the bass.I've often needed to use 2 hands,one to hold the stand,and the other to grab the bass.I notice that the Hercules probably doesn't have this problem.[attachment=72669:Ultimate_stand.jpg] PS Is there a way to make this pic sit the right way up??

The Ultimate GS-100.It supports the instrument by hanging it from the headstock.Much like the Hercules,but cheaper.I got mine for £15 from Argos.

Is it me or are those tuners mounted far too high in that headstock?.From the back,the tops of the tuner plates look to be level with the top edge of the 'stock.Not right,surely?

The tugbar needs a re-think!

Of the 2 live versions shown here,the cover bands version is by far the better of the 2.Well done that band!

[/quote] Strangely,I turn the radio UP every time it comes on.It has everything,a good solid beat,searing guitar,innovative bassline,all topped of with God-given vocals.What more do you want?? This however doe not include the crappy re-release with the doctored drum sound.That sounds like a pop song.
