Only this week I sold an 1980s Ibanez to a lovely chap in Wolverhampton. I sent it in its case and very, very well wrapped - Parcel Force 24. Got there within the time, so much FRAGILE tape round it , and it arrived without a scratch. Can anyone recommend a better carrier who I could book with confidence in the future???

Aria Pro II SB600 - born 1980 (as per serial number) This is another one of those 1980s basses I covered (think John Taylor - Duran Duran). I managed to get hold of this - a very good example with the case, a few years ago and lived out my 80s memories playing along to tunes at home, it has never been gigged in my time. The bass plays and sounds as good as it looks. Typical sound of the day and very easy and smooth to play. Its aged very well and I've looked after it very well too in the 8 years I have been the custodian.Yet at 62 I need to lighten the load. Comes complete with the original case, set of Rotosound roundwounds which are fitted, and the Allen key for neck adjustment should it need it. POSTAGE - Obviously it would be better if you could travel to play, pay and drive off with it but I understand that this isn't always possible. If you cannot do this, then I am happy to pack very securely and freight Parcel Force 48, as they offer insurance at something of this size and weight. This would be at your expense. To support the sale I have placed the photos up via my phone, but they don't seem to show on my Mac. I have also loaded a few videos of this bass onto my channel Youtube - Peter S. You will find more detail there nut width, weight, over view of bass n case, tones of the instrument etc.

Westone Thunder 1A - born May 1984 (as per serial number) This was another one of those basses I covered as an up and coming bassist at 18 years old. The timing was never right, or I never got he chance to get my hands on a good example until this one came along, several years ago. It plays as you would expect of a 40 year old instrument to. It is very resonant and has a pleasant natural un-amplified tone. There are one or two battle scars on it as you would expect of an instrument of this age, but only the right thumb mark above the pickup is the obvious one. No mark gets in the way of the playability of this instrument. The instrument is ALL original, there have been no modifications or replacement of parts on it. I have uploaded photos to try to demonstrate this and there is also a video on Youtube highlighting its condition, the controls, electronics, weight, nut width and the tones you can get from this bass. This can be found at my Youtube channel - Peter S. I am firm on the price as its a very good instrument, in a good state and has stood the test of time. I have maintained this the best I could have over the period I have been the custodian and sell it in all good faith. I am located in West Sussex, near Emsworth, on the South Coast. Ideally you would travel to try, play and pay for the bass, but I understand that this isn't always possible. Therefore I am open to shipping and would use Parcel Force 48 as they offer insurance, though it can be expensive. Please PM if this is the way you would like to go Many thanks UPDATE - the photos were added after on my phone but don't appear here on my Mac.....please look on your phone and on Youtube...

Fender Victor Bailey I have been the custodian of this lovely made and sounding bass for approximately 7 years. It hasn't been my main bass so its only had minimal amount of playing time, but a lovely possession to have. I have way too many, and now it needs to be sold and played. I have regularly maintained the instrument , and so its always been in tip top playing condition. It comes complete with the original case and case candy (see photos). I have also uploaded a few videos on my Youtube channel (Peter S) demonstrating its condition and that of the case, candy and tones of the instrument. I am based in West Sussex, near Emsworth, on the South Coast. I would prefer for you to travel, try the instrument and drive off with it rather than freight it. However, if this is not possible then I am happy to post Parcel Force 24 at your expense. If you require any more information please PM me . UPDATE - I have loaded several photos on my phone and they haven't come out on my Mac for some reason. Please use phone or Youtube to see and hear bass...thanks x

Fender Custom Shop Jaco I have had this bass approximately 14 years and played it from time to time. I have reguarly maintained it and it's been kept in a smoke n pet free area. I have enjoyed being the custodian of the instrument and treated with respect. However, there comes a time when we must let things go and this is that moment for me with this bass. It comes complete with - Original certificate of authenticity Original bass case and case candy There are no modifications to the bass (all original) - please see attached photos for this. It plays, feels and sounds as you would expect it to. I have also upload a few videos of this bass on my channel at Youtube - Peter S. Here you will be able to see things like the nut width, weight, condition of bass and the case candy very clear. I have also uploaded a video to demonstrate some of the tomes you can get from the bass so please listen through a good pair of speakers or headphones....better still pop the audio through your bass amp. I'm pretty firm on the price and would prefer for you to come to me and try the bass out before you buy it. Failing this, I am happy to send via Parcel Force 24 at your expense. I am located in West Sussex, near Emsworth, on the South Coast - kettle on and biscuits. .... UPDATE - I have uploaded photos on my phone and they appear there but not here...please use your phone for photos....and Youtube x

The problem with the PJB Briefcase is it will last about 15-20 mins on a full charged battery - you'll need several more to go busking as lower frequencies take more power. Halfords do a leisure battery along with a convertor you may want to investigate .... Alternatively get into a conversation with the next solo guitar busker you meet and ask them Good luck and let us know about your adventures
