1. Not my thing but great guitar playing a very C.O.B/ Celtic Frost thing going on
2.
I miss reading about his 'improvement' of guitars and basses, gave me hours of fun before the basschat ban.
Why was it banned? did MDP complain or something? or was the thread getting a bit naughty?
3.
You go online for as long as you like. I find the music theory lessons helpful too and they're thrown in as a bonus. But bearing other people's experiences in mind, it's probably worth checking out some sample lessons to see if you get on with Nathan East's approach: http://play.artistwo...71-f18a25de50f3
Hi Sarah thank you very much I shall check that out
4.
pics added
I cant see the pictures mate
5. Instead of using clamps you could always put a thin bit of card around the bass then wrap tape over the card to hold the bass together while the glue sets so you do not mark the finish with the clamps and everyone has some card and tape kicking about in there bodgers toolbox lol
6. My go to bass at present is my Vintage V4 Icon I have modded it a bit and it is pretty much all that I need in a bass and it is the cheapest bass I have ever owned it is certainly not the best bass I have owned but it is just so comfy to play and sounds pretty damn good too and I am not worried about it getting scratched and stuff like I am with other basses I own or have owned
7. I think I may make myself a couple of picks out of an old thick leather belt I have I know it is not a new idea but I would like to try it I have been told it sounds more like finger playing than pick playing
8.
Haven't really taken to the newest album. It's a lot better than the folk music they've been releasing over the last decade though. Gossard needs to get more involved in the song writing IMO. He was definitely the driving force on the earlier albums.
Having listened to the whole album now I tend to agree with you I think there is the one great track and the rest are just fillers I was a bit disappointed to be honest as I was expecting a good album off the back of Mind your manners
9.
Hey Les, check out Fender Koilkord on Ebay, there's loads on there as little as £9.00 free p&p.
I just looked at those they look like the power lead from a 70's hairdryer
10. I use an old laptop bag and find I can fit all my bits and bobs in there a treat
11. May be worth dropping Buzzardist a PM I think he is looking for a 5 string Warwick
12. Looking good am looking forward to seeing it finished slightly off topic but how did your spray attempt turn out on your other bass? or have you not sprayed it yet?
13.
... cos I don't understand how this works. http://www.amazon.co...=midnight+rider Buy the MP3 download for £5.49. Or buy the actual CD for £3.00 and they give you the MP3 download.
I am also confused by this the worlds gone wacky lol
14. Well I have never really liked Pearl jam much but the other day I had Planet Rock on and this song came on and I thought wow what a cool song and when I heard him say it was a song from pearl jam I was really amazed as to me it is so different to the stuff they have done before, the name of the track is called "Mind your manners" if anyone is interested I liked it that much I may even check out there new album
15.
I'll take it, some drunken turd booted mine last week and it's now knackered!
Hope you punched his lights out I hate it when people disrespect other peoples stuff that they have worked hard to get
16. Was just wondering what websites you guys liked to use? I only really use basschat ebay wikipedia gumtree Amazon and other sites if I want to look some information up or if I am really bored I just type random things in to Google and see what comes up lol
17. I also think some people like to try something a bit different and then realise they just do not get on with it and sell it on without making a huge loss on here.
18. These Beta Alvin pedals are fantastic for the price range GLWTS
19. What about a little baby Ampeg think it is the BA series they are light and very easy to pull along on a cheap little trolley and should be loud enough for any audition or rehearsal I have also heard good things about the Roland cube but have never used one
20. If there was time yes but if it was a number that did not fit with the style of music you play or a real obscure tune that most people would not know or enjoy then I would not bother myself
21. I myself have started using Fender strap locks and am quite happy with them.......but only time will tell how good they are
